FACT: A screening breast ultrasound is an additional screening tool and does not replace your annual mammogram. A doctor's order is required for screening ultrasound services.

Does this guy look familiar? You may have seen him at Erlanger's Medical Mall. David Lee transports people from the parking garage to the elevators and just celebrated 46 years with the hospital.

Many of David's family members have also worked at Erlanger. In fact, he marked his first birthday party here, thanks to his aunt, who worked with our Human Resources department at the time. He’s been told he put his foot in his birthday cake that day, but all he knows for sure is that driving the patients, who he says have become like family after all these years, makes his job easy.

"These people—they brighten my day so much, I don’t feel like I’m working at all.” 💙

Women with dense breast tissue may benefit from a screening breast ultrasound in addition to their annual mammogram. Screening ultrasounds are supplemental and do not replace mammograms.
