🌿 Meet Justine! 🌿
Scenic City Counseling is excited to introduce Justine, our practice manager and a master’s-level social work student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This fall, she will begin her clinical practicum as an MSW student intern, where she will continue strengthening her therapeutic skills while supporting individuals on their mental health journeys.
Justine joins us with a background in wellness, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. She brings a holistic and trauma-informed perspective to understanding how environments, systems, relationships, and personal experiences shape overall well-being.
Her clinical interests include working with trauma and complex PTSD (C-PTSD), empowering women, advocating for individuals whose voices have been overlooked, and helping clients recognize their strengths as they move toward healing. Justine is passionate about creating a supportive space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered to build meaningful change in their lives.
We are excited to support Justine as she takes this next step in her social work journey!

Dr. Latisha Simmons, DSW, LCSW, CCM

Dr. Simmons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Trauma Therapist passionate about helping individuals build emotional wellness, resilience, and meaningful personal growth. She provides compassionate, client-centered, trauma-informed therapy in a safe and supportive environment.

Dr. Simmons provides counseling services to any individual age 16 and above, specializing in supporting individuals as they work through burnout, anxiety, depression, life transitions, work-life balance concerns, and challenges related to identity, purpose, and self-esteem.

Using approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based techniques, and trauma-informed care, Dr. Simmons helps clients gain insight, build healthy boundaries, develop practical coping skills, and create lasting change.

Her mission: To empower clients to move beyond survival mode and embrace meaningful healing, personal growth, and lasting well-being, helping them live with intention and step fully into their purpose.
