We work to improve the quality of life for children with special needs and their families. Celebrating 75 Years of Hope for Children and Families

More than a half-century ago, two Chattanooga businessmen devoted their lives to serving their community and reaching out to people with disabilities. Today, their legacy lives on at Siskin Children’s Institute. Founded in 1950 by Mose and Garrison Siskin in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Siskin Children’s Institute is a nonprofit healthcare organization serving Tennessee and Georgia. The Institute achieves its mission through pediatric healthcare services, home visiting, and outreach in the field of developmental pediatrics. Siskin provides developmental pediatric healthcare services, home and community-based early intervention, and family support through healthcare navigation services. For more information about the services provided in your area, visit www.siskin.org.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies and Siskin Children's Institute partnered to bring Dr. Ami Kline, Director - Marcus Autism Center and cofounder of ® to the Chattanooga Autism Conference, presented by the Chattanooga Autism Center.

Don Mueller, President and CEO - Siskin Children's Institute, and Valeri Rutledge, Dean - UTC College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies, welcome Dr. Kline as the keynote speaker at this year's Autism Conference. Dr. Kline presented on the limited access to early diagnosis of autism and how this is compromising the outcomes of tens of thousands of children in the US every year. His presentation shared evidence-based research and data supporting the research of the EarliPoint® technology, recently cleared by the FDA.

EarliPoint®, currently being trialed in a pilot program at Siskin, is an eye-tracking-based, objective, and quantitative medical device for the diagnosis, assessment, and repeated monitoring/treatment response for autism for children aged 16 months to 8 years.
