There are only THREE instances you should be taking antibiotics. Strep Throat, Whooping Cough and a UTI. Please DO NOT insist or beg your doctor for antibiotics if you have not been diagnosed with either of those three! Antibiotic resistance is on the rise because of the mis-use. Don’t endanger yourself by taking antibiotics if not needed. Review the chart below!

Flu season is upon us!! Here are a few facts from last seasons rampage!
**During the 2019-2020 influenza season, CDC estimates that influenza was associated with 38 million illnesses, 18 million medical visits, 405,000 hospitalizations, and 22,000 deaths. The influenza burden was higher in young children (0-4 years) and adults (18-49 years) compared with a recent season with the 2017-2018 season, a recent season with high severity, and provides evidence to support how severe seasonal influenza can be at any age**

Let’s look at a few habits we can incorporate to stay healthy and safe when out and about! Be diligent in the following:

1. WEAR A MASK 😷 when leaving the house for gathering essentials. Be sure to KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM YOUR FACE once mask is in place.
2. When out and about, BE AWARE of your surroundings AT ALL TIMES and KEEP YOUR DISTANCE at least 6 feet from others.
3. Use the sanitizer wipes to wipe down your grocery cart handles or the hand pump when getting gas in your vehicle.
4. Wipe down with sanitizer the door handles on your car, steering wheel, gear shift, radio k***s and anything else you touch in your car.
5. If bringing groceries into the house, place them on the floor to unload. WASH YOUR HANDS 🧼 immediately after unloading. Wipe down any containers such as milk or OJ and pantry items before putting away.
6. Throw the plastic bags away AND WASH YOUR HANDS 🧼🧽
7. And most important, stay safe and healthy my friends 😊

Disinfecting the bathroom 🦠🧼🧽. Let’s get some clean rags and make that 10% or 1:10 solution of Clorox by taking 1 cup Clorox to 9 cups water. Wipe all the surfaces I have arrowed and circled. Let them air dry. Don’t forget the splashes on the mirror from flossing and brushing your teeth! And while you are at it, soak your toothbrush holder and wipe inside and out. That handle on the bowl brush needs a good wiping too. Don’t forget the doork***s and shower door handles. Again, keep in mind EVERYTHING you touch in the bathroom!
