Healthy habits are never wasted.
The millionaire known for spending millions on longevity testing, supplements, and cutting edge health interventions was recently diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis (AIG), a condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the stomach lining. Over time, this can lead to inflammation, poor absorption of nutrients like vitamin B12 and iron, and an increased risk of other complications. Even someone with extraordinary resources, meticulous health tracking, and every available biohack cannot eliminate every risk.
Here’s the thing: you don’t need expensive biohacks, longevity clinics, or a cabinet full of supplements to take care of your health. For most people, the biggest payoff comes from consistently doing the boring basics, eating well, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and keeping up with preventive care. Those habits can dramatically reduce your risk of many chronic diseases, but unfortunately they can’t eliminate it entirely. Sometimes, despite making all the “right” choices, people are still diagnosed with serious illnesses, cancers, autoimmune diseases, etc. That’s because genetics, age, environmental exposures, and factors we don’t fully understand are still part of the equation. Sometimes, despite doing everything “right,” life has other plans.
