Sudden cardiac arrest survival rates drop 10% for every minute without defibrillation. When seconds count, visibility matters. High-visibility yellow helps AEDs stand out.

In a cardiac emergency, the closest help isn't always a medical professional. Yet misperceptions about AEDs remain: what they are, where to find them, and how they work.

The truth is, AEDs guide you through what to do in real time, enabling bystanders to act quickly, appropriately, and confidently to help save lives in an SCA emergency.

Anything can happen. On the world’s biggest stages or in everyday moments.

In 2021, Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest reminded millions how critical immediate action can be.

As fans around the world tune in to today’s biggest matches, it’s also a reminder of the importance of preparedness, people ready to act, and access to life-saving technology.

Because when the unexpected happens, preparedness can change the game.

At Fenway Park, more than 400 community members came together to learn a skill that could help save a life.

Together with the Red Sox Foundation, ZOLL® spent the day with community leaders and organizations that share a commitment to preparedness and bystander action.

Coaches serving youth baseball leagues across Boston joined community leaders, and local executives for a conversation about emergency prepareness before stepping onto the Fenway outfield for Hands-Only CPR training led by the American Heart Association.

As the official AED provider of the Boston Red Sox, we're proud to stand alongside organizations who share the belief that anything can happen. And anyone can help.

In her own words in the HuffPost, Rachel Moyer reflects on the night she lost her son Greg to sudden cardiac arrest during a basketball game. Despite a crowd full of people ready to help, there was no AED in sight.

She has dedicated the last 25 years to changing that.

The Gregory W. Moyer Defibrillator Fund has placed thousands of AEDs in schools, police cars, and public spaces. Yet, still today, too many communities don't have safeguards in place.

Her story is a powerful reminder: with the right tools in place, anyone can help save a life when seconds count: https://bit.ly/4o43UYa.

When a postal supervisor suddenly collapsed at work, quick action from the people nearby helped provide care, including support from local law enforcement officers responding to the emergency.

Police officers are often among the first on scene when a cardiac emergency occurs. Their rapid response, combined with access to AEDs, can help bridge the gap until the arrival of EMS.

We recognize the officers, alongside Deputy Jacob Zeid and Deputy Justin Nichols, who continue showing up to support their communities in moments when people need help most.

In The Netherlands, an ordinary evening ride took a sudden turn when cyclist Tonny Bos van Ewijk collapsed along the route.

Githa Hochstenbach, who lives just across the street from a publicly accessible AED was called to retrieve the device and bring it to the scene while help was on the way.

Githa's response is proof that when communities are connected, prepared, and supported with the right tools, anyone can help. Read the full story: www.anyonecanhelp.com/answering-a-call-for-help/.
