In The Netherlands, an ordinary evening ride took a sudden turn when cyclist Tonny Bos van Ewijk collapsed along the route.

Githa Hochstenbach, who lives just across the street from a publicly accessible AED was called to retrieve the device and bring it to the scene while help was on the way.

Githa's response is proof that when communities are connected, prepared, and supported with the right tools, anyone can help. Read the full story: www.anyonecanhelp.com/answering-a-call-for-help/.

In Carmel Indiana, Carmel Marathon Weekend became the first official Rescue Ready Race™ marathon, helping establish a new model for cardiac emergency preparedness at endurance events.

With ZOLL® AEDs strategically placed throughout the course, volunteers prepared to respond, and CPR and AED education available to participants and spectators, this effort was about more than race day. It was about creating a safer environment where immediate action and readiness is possible.

We're honored to support Bolt for the Heart and Carmel Marathon Weekend and help make emergency preparedness an essential to race planning.

Most people pass AEDs every day at schools, gyms, workplaces. Even places you know well, they’re often closer than you think.

Here’s a simple challenge: Take a moment today and check how many AEDs are registered at a place you go often, or where you may be right now. You might be surprised by what you find.

Awareness is the first step, and through the National AED Registry (NEAR), AEDs are more accessible than ever.

Help strengthen that awareness by adding AEDs near you: anyonecanhelp.com/register-aeds/.

Most people aren’t medical professionals but in a cardiac emergency, they’re often the ones there first.

That’s why guidance matters.

AEDs can walk people through what to do in real time, helping take the guesswork out of those first critical moments and supporting bystanders as they step in to help.

Because helping in an emergency isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about knowing you don’t have to face the moment alone.

We’re grateful to have joined last week's ceremony with the Moyer family and Senator Brown as they continue the important work of moving Greg Moyer’s Law forward.

This legislation ensures AEDs are present at all athletic events and practices and requires schools to have action plans in place for bystanders to step in when seconds matter.

Congratulations to the Moyer family and all those driving this effort forward. We’re inspired by your commitment to helping save lives and empowering others to act.

Let the Beat Go On.

Medical emergencies are where people are often left wondering what to do first.

Just like an AED helps guide bystanders through a cardiac emergency, the Mobilize® Rescue app integrated with ZOLL® Mobilize® trauma kits is designed to help anyone take action during a medical emergency with clear, real-time step-by-step instructions. So rescuers can stay focused and confident while waiting for EMS to arrive.

Summer recreation means more time at fields, courts, pools, and parks, and more people coming together in shared community spaces.

With more time spent outdoors during the hot summer months, it’s important for communities to know where AEDs are located and feel prepared to respond in an emergency. AEDs are built to guide bystanders in real time, helping people stay focused on what to do next when every second counts.

At the Franklin Community Education and Recreation Center, one AED is now ready for the entire community.

This spring, ZOLL® partnered with SaveStation, Project ADAM led by Children's Wisconsin, and Carter Zahn and his family to help bring a publicly accessible AED to this active community space.

When Carter collapsed on the basketball court, the people around him didn’t have all the answers, but they took action. One parent started CPR. Another called 911. Someone yelled, “Grab the AED!”

Now, Carter is helping more families, coaches, athletes, and neighbors feel confident stepping in during those critical first minutes before EMS arrives.

When 14-year-old Ryan Haselden experienced sudden cardiac arrest at a horse show, the people nearby acted quickly with CPR and an AED. That moment changed everything for her family.

Since then, they’ve helped bring CPR training, AED awareness, and stronger emergency preparedness to equestrian communities, creating safer spaces for riders, families, coaches, and spectators alike.

Because when communities are prepared, anyone can be empowered to make a difference.
