π₯ "Fat is fat, right? As long as I'm in ketosis, who cares."
I hear this constantly from people doing keto β and it's the one that worries me most. Because you can absolutely be in perfect ketosis and still be doing your body harm, if the fats you're leaning on are the wrong ones. π
Keto gave a lot of people permission to eat fat again after decades of being told to fear it. That part is good. But somewhere along the way "eat fat" turned into "eat any fat," and that's where it goes sideways.
There's a real difference between the fat in an avocado, olive oil, and wild fishβ¦ and the industrial seed oils hiding in most "keto-friendly" packaged snacks. Same macros on paper. Very different story inside your body. π€
Being in ketosis doesn't make a bad fat good. It just hides it behind a number on a strip.
I broke the whole thing down on the podcast β which fats to build your plate around, which ones to walk away from, and why the label "keto" on a package tells you almost nothing about whether it's actually good for you. β¨
