Spoiler alert: Yesterday wasn't exactly a glamorous day at the office for me.
Life has been life-ing lately, and running a small business has felt a little extra challenging. The reality is that as a business owner, you work seven days a week. Maybe not a full 9-5 everyday, but there isn't a day that goes by when you’re not dealing with something business related. Some days it feels like everything breaks at once. Equipment burns out, schedules change, staff gets sick and you have to scramble to find coverage, or be the coverage.
This was the case last night. While I was covering a front desk shift, I had the opportunity to chat with one of our students. He shared how much the studio means to him, how much light it has brought into his life, and how grateful he is that we're here. I teared up.
All the silly things that had gone "wrong" that day felt worth it. Because, this is our WHY. The community we've built. The students who walk through our doors
The staff who show up and give us their all.
We tease and joke, make light of the hardships, but moments like these remind us what were building matters. I was thankful for yesterday. "Find the light in the burn-out" is my summer motto!
I'm still pi**ed about my nail though!
