Praying for our communities 🙏🏽

After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to cancel our summer programming for Monday, July 27 at all sites. This means there will be no summer school at Madras Elementary, Bridges High School, and Madras High School.

We reached this decision due to the unpredictable behavior and rapid growth of the Bench & Beachcomb fires last night, and many families living within evacuation zones.

All of our summer meal sites will be closed on Monday, July 27 as well.

We know this can be difficult, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate these tough times. Our thoughts are with the families impacted by the fires in our region, and we are grateful for the firefighters currently working on containing these fires.

We will share an update tomorrow, on July 27, about the status of our summer programs for the rest of the week.

It's that time again! Youth summer Art Camp is back!

Please join us as we do arts and crafts with the youth starting July 27, 2026 - July 29, 2026, the youth will be able to come and enjoy arts and crafts of different mediums! Then showcase their creations for their families at the end of the camp! Dinner will be provided for the families during the showcase!

Can't wait to see what the youth create this year!

We love to see the growth on the community garden, and the new life! A bit of an oasis seeing new life sprouting forward as we are surrounded by fires. It’s a reminder that we have the power to regenerate. The dusk always comes before the dawn. Thank you to all the youth, partners and community members who are working together to create something beautiful! ❣️🌻🌺💐

⚠️ Due to poor air quality, our Youth In Progress Drop-In Center will be closed today to help keep our youth, families, and staff safe. Please stay indoors if possible, take care of yourselves, and we’ll share updates as conditions improve. 💛

At Youth In Progress, we know that helping young people also means supporting the adults who love them. Strong, healthy, sober parents and caregivers create stronger families and brighter futures for youth.

Our new Recovery & Reentry Community Center will provide peer-led support for mothers, fathers, and adults seeking recovery or rebuilding their lives after incarceration—because we recover together.

When families heal, communities heal. ❤️.

A Madras business will receive more than $1 million in grant funding to create a new building through funding from the Rural Health Transformation Program.
