During a walk along the Hudson River, a random man stopped me to share good news, his granddaughter received a full ride to Brighton College. Immediately I was able to identify with his happiness. I love and cherish encounters with strangers because I think it’s where true magic happens.
Before he continued his walk he said, “You know, not everything in the world is bad. There is some good and you have to believe this.”
I do believe God was talking through him directly to my heart at a time I needed to hear it most. This journey has been nothing like I expected and my heart has hardened and has made me very skeptical and suspicious of everyone in my life.
I’ve questioned why I moved here and what am I doing here. I’ll share more as I sit with it all and hopefully come out of it. But these words from Trevor Noah does make me feel like the work I’ve done thus far is important and much continue here or there❤️
