We enjoyed a lovely tea party on the Pavilion to celebrate National Sweet Tea Day, National Lemonade Day, and Ms. Sandi’s birthday! 🎂🥳

It was a wonderful opportunity for our residents to gather together, enjoy refreshing drinks and delicious treats, and celebrate some very special occasions. Activities like these encourage social connection, conversation, and joyful engagement while creating meaningful memories together. 💗✨

🙏🕉️ During the sacred month of Shravan, each Monday is considered a highly auspicious day for fasting, temple visits, and Shiva abhishekam, a devotional practice believed to bring blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.

Our Maika residents had the beautiful opportunity to participate in abhishekam to the Shivling, with Mr. Ghanshyam Dave leading the devotional chanting of the Maha Mrityunjay Mantra.

We feel truly blessed to be able to bring this meaningful spiritual experience to our residents and create an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and connection.

🏆💙 Congratulations to Avni Patel-West, Director of the Maika Program at Silver Healthcare Center, on being honored with the Dhurandhar Young Community Healthcare Leader Award!

As the daughter of Indian immigrants, Avni recognized the challenges many Indian families face when seeking care for their aging loved ones and dedicated herself to creating meaningful change.

Through the Maika Program, Avni works to help aging parents receive the care they need without losing their language, traditions, or sense of home. In a short time, she has built meaningful relationships throughout South Jersey, helped families feel more comfortable asking for support, and reminded the community that quality care is an act of love, not a failure of it.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Avni and the compassion, dedication, and leadership she brings to the community every day. This recognition is so well deserved! 💙👏

Our Pavilion residents celebrated National Creamsicle Day with delicious orange sherbet and vanilla cupcakes, and we threw in some chocolate for good measure! 🍫☺️
After enjoying their sweet treats, residents got creative with arts and crafts to decorate the unit for September. 🎨🍂

It was a fun afternoon combining delicious treats, creativity, and time spent together. Activities like arts and crafts provide opportunities for self-expression, focus, fine motor skills, and social connection. 💙✨

🍓🫐🍌 Fresh Fruit Smoothie Day at Silver! 🥤💙

Today on the second floor, our residents enjoyed freshly made smoothies featuring strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, and bananas! 🍓🫐🍍🍌
It was a fun and refreshing afternoon, and as you can see from the pictures, the smoothies were definitely a hit! 😋💙

Activities centered around food and shared treats provide opportunities for residents to enjoy new flavors, socialize, and spend meaningful time together. ✨
