We agree with the American Academy of Pediatrics that your child should be cleared to participate in sports by their pediatrician. Urgent care centers and mass sports physicals at high schools lack privacy, and most importantly, access to your child's complete medical record. We can complete the exam and clearance form at your child's annual checkup, most times eliminating the need for an additional sports physical. If your child's checkup was completed within the last year, unless otherwise specified, we can complete the participation form for you. If they are not up to date on their checkup, give us a call to schedule.

As hard as it is to believe, it's almost back to school time! Whether your child is entering kindergarten or college, they likely require vaccines and physicals for admission. Take a look at those school forms now and give us a call to schedule your child's checkup or vaccine update appointment. If they are already up to date, get us those forms so you have plenty of time to return them before the rush of September is upon us.

It's almost summer! Is your child participating in a summer camp or activity? If so, they likely need a medical form completed by their doctor. Make sure they are up to date with their checkups so we can complete them for you!

Also, it may be a good idea to schedule your child's yearly checkup now, before your summer vacations start. That way, we will be able to complete those fall sports physical forms and college medical forms when you need them.

We have some bittersweet news to share. After 23 years with us, Dr. Razi is relocating and will be leaving our practice at the end of July. Please join us in wishing her the very best as she starts this next chapter of her life and thanking her for being a much loved part of our South Jersey Pediatrics family.

Her last day with us will be Monday July 27, 2026. If you would like to schedule your child's annual checkup with Dr. Razi before she leaves, please give us a call as soon as possible.
