I know I know it looks like a filler 💉cause it’s being injected BUT… it’s absolutely not a filler ….

Sculptra is one of my favorites for women who tell me, “I don’t necessarily want to look filled—I just feel like my face is changing.”

Because as we age, we’re not just getting wrinkles. We’re losing collagen and structural support, which can show up as facial volume loss, thinner-looking skin and changes in the overall shape of the face.

Sculptra works differently than traditional hyaluronic acid filler. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which stimulates your body to gradually produce more of its own collagen.

So instead of an immediate “filled” look, the improvement happens gradually over the following months—and that’s exactly why I love it. The goal is for people to notice that you look refreshed, not necessarily know what you had done.

ADHD brain dump complete this morning, y’all 🤣

if I’m being honest, every one of these random thoughts comes back to the same thing:

✨ Health isn’t just about looking good. It’s about living well.

For years I thought success meant working more. Now I know it also means making time for my family.

I thought being skinny was the goal. Now I care a whole lot more about being strong enough to carry groceries, scuba dive, hike, and still feel good in my own skin.

I used to think rest had to be earned. Now I know recovery is part of the plan, not a reward.

And yes… if you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I’m going to celebrate healthy digestion too. 😅 Your gut influences everything from energy and hormones to inflammation and mood. Going every day is actually a sign your body is working the way it should.

At 47, I genuinely feel healthier than I did at 37—not because of one magic supplement or treatment, but because of years of small choices that added up.

These are just a few random thoughts from inside my brain…

Meet the women behind Incandescence 🤍

We thought a normal team introduction felt a little too predictable… so naturally, we chose mugshots. 😂

Amber is our office manager and patient care coordinator—the one keeping the office organized, answering questions, solving problems, and making sure our patients feel cared for from the moment they contact us.

Robin is our aesthetician and one of the reasons so many of our patients leave glowing. She loves helping people feel confident in their skin and somehow manages to make treatments feel equal parts effective and relaxing.

Andrea is our RN—the calm voice behind “just a little pinch.” She is thoughtful, skilled, and especially good at helping patients feel comfortable, even when needles are involved.

Misty is one of our nurse practitioners and our resident problem-solver. She is amazing at listening, digging deeper, and figuring out what is actually going on. She may also be approximately 30 minutes behind at any given moment… because she refuses to rush people through their care. 😂

Madison wears about seven different hats around here. She helps with patient care, social media, marketing, content, technology, and basically anything that makes the rest of us say, “Madison, can you fix this?”

And then there’s me—Lu. I’m a nurse practitioner, business owner, hormone and lab-work nerd, aesthetics lover, and a 40-something woman figuring out perimenopause right alongside many of our patients. I care deeply about helping women feel stronger, healthier, more confident, and more like themselves again.

Different roles. Different personalities. A shared commitment to taking really good care of people.

Y’all… how is it that my skin changed overnight?!?! Ugh…. I woke up and it was drier, more sensitive and felt more irritated than improved with my routine 😭

The reason…..well when estrogen declines, skin can lose moisture, thickness, elasticity, and collagen support.

So this is what I’m currently doing:

I’ve realized something over the last few months…

I’ve spent years building a business and educating women, but somewhere along the way I forgot something important.

People don’t just follow information.
They follow people.

So I’m making a conscious effort to show up more as me.

Not just the nurse practitioner & CEO
Not just the aesthetics provider.
Not just the hormone nerd. 🤓

Just… Lu.

The woman who’s figuring out perimenopause in real time, juggling motherhood and business ownership, celebrating the wins, learning from the mistakes, and sharing what actually works.
