Saturday Morning Helpers – Garden Club Harvest
A little extra teamwork in the garden! Our Saturday morning helpers spent some time picking fresh green beans from our raised garden beds. It was a simple but meaningful way to stay involved, enjoy some fresh air, and see the rewards of all the care that has gone into our garden this season. 🫛🌿

🌻✨️ Celebrating a Lifetime of Memories, Wisdom & Love ✨️🌻
Friday was a beautiful day to celebrate NATIONAL SENIOR CITIZEN'S DAY and, most importantly, the incredible people who make our community so special❣️
We began our morning with devotional and prayer, along with a meaningful scripture handout honoring the beauty, wisdom, and value that come with growing older. 🙏🕊💕
We then welcomed Father Vincent and Rosemary from for our monthly Mass. Residents enjoyed a beautiful service together and the opportunity to receive Communion. ⛪
After lunch, we continued the celebration with a “Remember When” social, sharing handouts, memories, stories, and plenty of wonderful conversation. 🗣💬😊
To round out our special day, we gathered for live entertainment with The Kelly John Show! 🎶 🎸
He was a wonderful hit, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed the music and time together.🎼👏🎵😃
NATIONAL SENIOR CITIZENS DAY is a beautiful reminder to recognize the wisdom, stories, strength, humor, and life experiences of a generation that has given so much to their families, communities, and all of us—often without even realizing how much they have taught us. ❤️📚👵🎓🧓✨️🕊

☀️🎶 Sunshine, Music & a Sweet Treat! 🍓🫐
What a lovely Thursday at Chesaning Comfort Care!
We started our morning with Walk & Wheel Club, and we had a wonderful group join us. We enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine while taking time to notice the changing colors in the flowers and plants around our home—and the beautiful bean fields surrounding us. Sometimes it’s nice to simply slow down and enjoy what’s right outside our door. 🌿☀️
Our afternoon brought even more fun when Richard, the One Man Band, joined us for live music! 🎸🎶 Residents gathered together to listen, visit, and enjoy the entertainment.
Then came a delicious treat! 🍓🫐 We were excited to welcome Jordan Fernandes with Compassus Hospice, who spent the afternoon with us and hosted a wonderful Fruit Parfait Party! Residents enjoyed fresh berries, yogurt, and granola while visiting together and enjoying the music. The parfaits were a big hit, and we truly appreciated Jordan spending time with our residents and helping make the afternoon extra special. 💛

🌻🥕 Creating, Growing & Enjoying the Bounty! 🌱

What a wonderful Tuesday at Chesaning Comfort Care!

We started our morning with greetings and conversation before getting moving with our Walk & Wheel Club. Work also continued behind the scenes on our upcoming First Annual Fall Family Festival! 🍂🐝

In the afternoon, residents gathered for Part One of our Sunflower Centerpiece Craft, painting their jars and getting them ready for the next step. We can’t wait to see the finished creations! 🌻🎨

Then Garden Club became a true “Congratulations on Your Bounty!” celebration! 🥕🍅🥦 We enjoyed vegetables from our own garden, along with a few additional varieties to round out our colorful spread. Residents had the opportunity to try vegetables prepared in a different way, taste a variety of flavors, and maybe even discover a new favorite!

The best part was gathering around the table together—sharing food, conversation, smiles, and the satisfaction of enjoying some of what our garden has given us. 💛

✏️🐈‍⬛ Pencils, Black Cats & Monday Bingo! 🎉

What a fun and busy Monday at Chesaning Comfort Care!

We celebrated National #2 Pencil Day and National Black Cat Appreciation Day with some interesting pencil history and a Black Cat Connect-the-Dots Challenge. 🐾 Our lucky winners received beautiful handmade afghans generously donated to our residents! 💕🧶

Throughout the day, we enjoyed one-on-one visits, group time, conversation, and connection, while also having the pleasure of welcoming a new resident to our community. 💛

Behind the scenes, planning continued for our First Annual Fall Family Festival! 🍂🌻🐝 We’re still welcoming volunteers, local vendors, and community partners who would like to join the fun—please reach out if you’re interested!

We wrapped up the afternoon with one of our Monday favorites—BINGO! 🎱 We had a wonderful turnout with plenty of laughter and friendly competition.

🍉☀️ Watermelon, Pirates & Good Company! 🏴‍☠️

What a wonderful afternoon together! We headed outside to enjoy some fresh watermelon, pirate fun facts, and a pirate word search—all with plenty of conversation, laughter, and time spent simply enjoying one another’s company. 💛

Sharing the little moments of our daily lives helps build meaningful connections. There’s something special about knowing you’re surrounded by people who care, who want to listen, and who enjoy simply spending time together in a safe, relaxing environment.

We had a great turnout, and sometimes the simplest afternoons make the sweetest memories. 🐝☀️

🏴‍☠️🦜 Ahoy, Mateys! The Pirate Fun Continues at Chesaning Comfort Care! ⚓️💰

In honor of International Pirate Month, we've been sprinkling some pirate fun throughout our activities—and today our crew gathered for Pirate Trivia, treasure, snacks, and Pirate Bingo! ☠️💎

We kicked things off with a fun mix of pirate questions, familiar favorites, music, television, and plenty of silly ones that had our crew thinking, remembering, laughing, and calling out their answers! 🧠😂 Correct answers came with the opportunity to choose a pirate treasure from our prize counter! 🎁🪙

Every now and then, though, it was time for a PIRATE TRIVIA SHOWDOWN! 🏴‍☠️⚔️ Two mateys went head-to-head on the next question to see who could come up with the answer first! 😂

After some Pirate's B***y, chocolate gold coins 🪙🍫 and other goodies, we moved on to Pirate Bingo! 🦜⚓️

This wasn't our ordinary number Bingo! Instead, residents listened for things like a cannon, pirate, mermaid, sword, flag, treasure, and more—then searched their cards to match the word with the correct picture. 👀🧠 We even traded our usual Bingo markers for colorful gems, turning the cards into little pieces of pirate treasure! 💎🏴‍☠️

And aboard this ship, there was one VERY important rule...

🏴‍☠️ You couldn't just yell “BINGO!”

Our mateys had to give us their best “ARRRR!” first! 😂☠️🦜

Beyond all the pirate silliness, this was such a fun way to get everyone interacting, thinking, remembering, laughing, and cheering one another on. ❤️ By putting a playful twist on some familiar favorites, we had minds working, smiles showing, and another wonderful memory in the making! 🧠💕🏴‍☠️

✨ Sparkle Shout-Out to Jennifer & Tiffany for lending some extra hands during our pirate adventures and helping make the afternoon fun for our residents! 🏴‍☠️💎 Thank you for jumping in and being part of the fun! ❤️

Something very special is coming to Chesaning Comfort Care! 💛

On Saturday, September 12th, three hours of 2:00 to 4:30, We’ll be bringing the joy of a 'county fair' right to our residents—creating an afternoon filled with fun, family, laughter, and opportunities to make one more beautiful memory together. 🍂

We are so excited to share our First Annual Fall Family Festival with our residents, their families, friends, and our surrounding communities!

✨ This event is open to the community, and everyone is welcome!
