When I live in the past, I tend to feel depressed. When I live in the future, I tend to feel anxious.

Mindfulness has helped bring me back to this moment and make decisions from my values instead of fear.

One of the hardest parts of healing is learning to stop measuring your worth by other people’s reactions.

🔹 Notice when you’re replaying an interaction.

🔹 Ask yourself: “Am I trying to understand myself, or am I trying to earn approval?”

🔹 Focus on your behavior, not their response.

🔹 Ask: “Did I act in alignment with my values?”

🔹 If the answer is yes, practice letting the rest belong to them.

You can care about how you impact people without needing their approval to feel worthy.

❤️ Have you ever caught yourself replaying a conversation over and over in your head?

Today we came together in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to film a segment for MS NOW, sharing our experiences with Leaving MAGA and the journeys that followed. Grateful to be part of honest conversations centered around healing, growth, and humanity. Thank you to the production team and everyone who helped make today possible.

To examine yourself means becoming willing to question why you think the way you think, react the way you react, believe what you believe, and fear what you fear.

It means asking yourself:
Did I consciously choose these beliefs and perspectives?
Or did I inherit them through family, culture, religion, politics, trauma, fear, or the deep human need to belong?

Self-examination requires humility, emotional honesty, curiosity, and the courage to sit with discomfort instead of immediately defending your identity or worldview.

An examined mind reflects.
An unexamined mind reacts.

Some of us didn’t run from pain. We came out fighting because our nervous system learned that if we didn’t fight for ourselves, nobody would. Healing Roots On Up ❤️‍🩹

Healing sometimes means questioning what we were taught, especially when those beliefs are causing harm to other human beings. Some things deserve to be unlearned. ❤️‍🩹

Some people spend more time protecting their image than becoming a safe and authentic human being. Healing is about alignment… becoming the same person privately that you present publicly. Who do you want to be when nobody’s watching?

Healing didn’t begin when I understood my trauma.
It began when I finally felt safe enough to feel it. ❤️‍🩹

Real change isn’t about motivation. It’s about reaching a point where the way you’ve been living no longer works and you’re finally willing to look at yourself differently. Not just the world around you, not just what other people did, but your patterns, your reactions, and your role in it. That takes humility. It takes honesty. It takes sitting with things you’ve spent years avoiding. Most people don’t get stuck because they can’t change. They get stuck because they don’t want to feel what change requires. But when you stop running, start questioning, and begin doing things differently, that’s when everything shifts.

Sometimes the only place I can hear myself think… is out here.
Hands in the dirt. No noise. No pressure. Just space.
This is where I come back to myself.
