To examine yourself means becoming willing to question why you think the way you think, react the way you react, believe what you believe, and fear what you fear.
It means asking yourself:
Did I consciously choose these beliefs and perspectives?
Or did I inherit them through family, culture, religion, politics, trauma, fear, or the deep human need to belong?
Self-examination requires humility, emotional honesty, curiosity, and the courage to sit with discomfort instead of immediately defending your identity or worldview.
An examined mind reflects.
An unexamined mind reacts.
