Dr. Windy Blades Helping others find clarity and peace through healing their mind, body, and spirit, for full-body wellness. Army Combat Veteran, and a perpetual student.

Life can be hard, but it is OUR decision on how hard our lives can and will be. I am a daughter, niece, mother, grandmother, disabled U.S. When I finished my military commitment (1996), I wanted to find a way to give back to my community and military/veteran family. This is when the Tactical Health & Wellness Center planning started to percolate. I wanted to create a space for people like me: thos

e with physical limitations due to my military service. This also translates to First Responders, as their injuries can be similar in nature. The goal is to heal the body through mind, body, and spirit rehabilitation modalities in a clinical and post-clinical environment. At one point in my life (2004), I worked with a local (to Hampton Roads) Minor League Football team as a sideline trainer and medical support. I did that for 10 years and LOVED IT. I found, during that time that I had an aptitude for health, and how the body works and moves. Understand, that at that time, I was carrying about 100+ extra pounds on my 5'2" frame and was unhappy with my life and its trajectory. I started to do a deep dive into my life. Retrospective soul-searching can be painful, but extremely enlightening. That was when I changed my educational path from Administration, because I was good at it, to Health Sciences. After all, that is my calling. I found that I was the one that was keeping me from truly moving forward to living my truth. I had not been listening to God, who was constantly telling me I was NOT on the right path for my life. Let me explain ------

I have been working in the construction field, in some way, for over 30 years: during my time in the military and after. I have worked 30 years in the government space and then in 2021 made the jump out of that space into the Healthcare space (still in Construction, by the way). During all of this time, I was still struggling with my weight and my own mindset. I have been on my own self-care journey over the last 10-12+ years, to remove my own blockages. I came to the conclusion that I was holding on to past traumas and it was preventing me from moving forward in my personal and professional life, as well as preventing me from dropping the extra weight I was carrying. In July of 2023, I was DONE! I was fed up. I HAD to do something and really leaned into making a change. I found an incredible program to partner with for meal planning, a training program, the appropriate supplements to assist, and working with an amazing coach. Joining the Sculpt Nation family and the VShred Program was a game changer for me. Couple that with the work I have done with GypSea Roots Collective in clearing my Chakra, and I have dropped over 50 pounds in 7 months. My newest achievement is obtaining my Reiki Master Certification. Granted, I am NOT done with my journey, but WOW, what a journey it has been. Tactical Health & Wellness is the first stage of the Tactical Health & Wellness Center, as the planning for the Center is ongoing; working with the design team on the conceptual plans, to finalize the financial model, which rounds out the business plan. All necessary steps in being able to start the Capital Campaign. More announcements will be forthcoming on milestones and progress on where we are. So, right now, we are focusing on performing Reiki, continuing my Health, Life, and Executive Coaching with a focus on Mindset Transformation, and Business Strategic Operational Change Implementation, which couples with the Executive Coaching. I am so excited that my dream is starting to become a reality, and it is through my journey that this is possible!!! Never give up on yourself OR your dreams. No dream is too big, BUT you must write them down and develop a plan, or they will REMAIN a dream!!

"Everyone wants the shade of the tree, but few appreciate the work done by the roots."

We live in a world that celebrates visible results.

The promotion.
The weight loss.
The finish line.
The success story.

What we do not often see are the countless choices made behind the scenes that made those achievements possible.

The roots.

The early morning walks.
The decision to drink water instead of another soda.
The commitment to move your body when motivation is low.
The courage to work through old patterns and limiting beliefs.
The daily practice of choosing yourself, even when life gets busy.

Like the roots of a tree, these actions may not be visible to others, but they provide the strength and stability needed to weather life's storms.

True resilience is not built overnight. It is built beneath the surface through consistent actions, repeated day after day.

If you are working on your health, your wellness, your relationships, your career, or your personal growth, remember this:

The roots matter.

Keep showing up.
Keep doing the work.
Trust the process.

The strongest trees are supported by the deepest roots.

You have been trained to stay alert. Ready. On.

But your body still needs an “off switch.”

If you never come out of that high-alert state, your system never fully recovers.

That is where burnout, pain, and fatigue start stacking up.
Reset is not optional—it is necessary.

Take the time. Slow it down. Let your body shift into recovery mode.

That is how you stay in the fight long-term.

By now, you already know what your body has been dealing with.

° The tightness that does not fully go away.
° The movements that do not feel the same.
° The way you have had to adjust just to get through the day.

And maybe you have told yourself it is just part of the job.

But staying there … is still a choice.

You do not have to keep working through or around it.

You can start rebuilding.

Enrollment for the 16-Week Core Connection program (link in bio) closes today.

If you have been thinking about it, this is your moment to decide.

By the end of the day, your body feels it.

✅Getting in and out of the truck.
✅Carrying load.
✅Standing, moving, responding—over and over again.

And somewhere along the way, it stopped bouncing back the way it used to.

When do you notice:

• getting up feels slower
• certain movements feel guarded
• the same areas tighten up again

So you adjust.

You work around it.
You push through it.

Because that is what you have always done.

But over time, working around it becomes your normal.

And that is where things start to change—not all at once, but enough to notice.

One thing this program is not about ~ pushing harder.

It is about giving your body the support it has not been getting—so it does not have to keep compensating.

The 16-Week Core Connection program (link in bio) is designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stop working around the same issues.

Enrollment closes April 30.

If this sounds familiar, this is your opportunity to do something different.

A lot of ongoing discomfort does not come from one major injury.

It builds over time.

- Repetitive demands.
- Long hours.
- Carrying load—physically and otherwise.

What the body cannot stabilize, it will protect.

That protection often shows up as:
• tightness that keeps coming back
• limited range of motion
• discomfort that never fully resolves

Not because your body is failing—

Because it is adapting to what it is been asked to do.

And if nothing changes, then nothing changes. Those patterns continue… often increasing strain on the same areas over time.

For many people, the default response is to push through it.

~ Keep going.
~ Work around it.
~ Deal with it later.

Until later becomes longer than expected, or never comes.

At some point, pushing through stops working.

That is where rebuilding begins.

The 16-Week Core Connection program (link on bio) focuses on restoring stability, improving movement, and creating the support your body has been missing.

Enrollment for the Founders Spring Cohort is closing soon - April 30th and begins May 4th.

If this sounds familiar, this may be your opportunity to take a different approach.

There was a time for me when movement did not feel simple.

Multiple injuries.
Daily discomfort.
Limited range of motion.

I was doing what I thought I was supposed to do—pushing through it. Isn't that how we were trained.

But over time, it became clear that pushing harder was not the answer.

So I shifted.

I started looking deeper—into how the body actually moves, how it compensates, and what it really needs to rebuild.

Through research, training, working alongside a chiropractor on the sidelines of minor league football, and going through physical therapy over and over again, I began shifting my focusing onto:

• stability
• controlled movement
• rebuilding from the foundation

Not just to lose weight—but to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and move with more confidence.

That process changed everything.

This is what I built the 16-Week Core Connection program (link in bio) around.

This is not about doing more.

It is about doing what actually supports your body.

Enrollment for the Founders Spring Cohort is closing soon.

The cohort is limited to 6–8 participants to keep the experience focused and personalized.

If you have been dealing with ongoing discomfort, limited movement, or feel like nothing has fully worked—this is your opportunity to take a different approach.

Enrollment closes April 30, or when spots are filled.
