July 25th was National Cowboy Day and we all had a wonderful time celebrating! The day was filled with music, old folk tales, and stories that took us back to days gone by. 🤠

We also celebrated our residents and staff of the month for July. Our staff, Legacy, and Assisted Living residents joined in the celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy some great music and stories, and celebrate the people who make our community so special. 😃🎉

Today marked the beginning of something special for our veterans! We introduced Brothers Working with Brothers, a new opportunity for our veterans to connect, share their experiences, and open up. We appreciate having a safe space for fellowship and to support one another.

The power of art can never be understated! Arts remain accessible for those in Memory Care due to their multi-sensory nature, and how easy it is to immerse oneself regardless of a history with it.

Engaging in creative activities also helps maintain cognitive function through the use of fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and spacial awareness. Whether it's painting, coloring, beadwork, or something else, arts can improve quality of life! 🎨
