500+ MIDGUARDIANS?!

Somewhere in the middle of the absolute whirlwind that has been the last 3 weeks… this page crossed 500 followers.

I genuinely almost missed it. 😂

Between taking care of y’all at the studio, vendor fairs, the award ceremony, putting the finishing touches on the book, loosing my familiar and then adopting a tiny black kitten with the zoomies and absolutely no concept of personal space, life has been BUSY.

And now there are 500+ of you here. That is WILD to me.

📚 THE BOOK!!
Y’all.
THE BOOK IS OFFICIALLY COMING OUT NEXT WEEK.
Like… actually happening. 😂
I’m taking preorders now, so if you want one just message me and say “I want a book.”
That’s it. Super easy.
They’re $20 each and you can just pay me when you get it.
I’m ordering a bunch of copies so I can have them here at the spa ready for everyone who wants one.
And honestly, this isn’t just some book full of massage therapist stuff.
There are SO many inspiring stories in it. It’s a really good reflection on taking chances, figuring things out, pushing through the hard stuff, and believing in yourself enough to actually go for something.
If you’ve been sitting there thinking about taking a chance on yourself, changing something, starting something, or finally doing the thing that scares the crap out of you… there is a LOT of motivation in this book.
It’s a collaboration with a bunch of massage therapists, so everyone has their own story and their own journey, and I really don’t want to give too much away because I want you guys to actually read it 😂
But I will say… it came together REALLY freaking well.

Hey y’all! I’m Amanda and I own Midguards Rest Massage & Reiki in Chester. 💙

I’m a licensed, award-winning massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, small business owner, and contributing author… which sounds way fancier than I feel saying it 😂

What Midguards Rest really is, though, is a place to come feel better.

If your neck is mad at you, your shoulders are up by your ears, your back hurts, life has you stressed to hell, or you just need one damn hour where nobody needs anything from you… come see me.

I don’t do cookie-cutter massages, and I’m not trying to rush you in and out like a number.

You tell me what’s going on, what hurts, what you like, what you don’t like, and we figure out what your body needs that day.

Sometimes you need actual work done.
Sometimes you need to melt into the table.
Sometimes you need both. 😂

I’ve been lucky enough to earn some really cool recognition for my work, including being named Top 3 Best Massage Therapist in the 2026 Tri-Cities People’s Choice Awards.

But my favorite part is still when someone gets off my table and says, “Oh my God, I feel so much better.”

Now that the night is over and I’ve had a little time to actually process everything…

Holy crap. I made the TOP 3. 🥹🖤

Out of all the businesses and massage therapists out there, somehow this little dream of mine — Midguards Rest — made it all the way to the Top 3 for Best Massage Therapist.

Midguardians… seriously. Thank you.

Thank you for voting for me.
Thank you for booking with me.
Thank you for trusting me with your bodies, your stress, your bad days, your stories, and sometimes just giving you a safe place to breathe for an hour.

But most of all, thank you for keeping my little business and my dream alive.

I didn’t take home the #1 trophy last night, but looking at where I started versus where I am now… I really don’t feel like I lost anything.

I’m a small, one-woman business, and y’all got me into the Top 3. That is absolutely surreal to me.

I am always so incredibly grateful for every appointment, every review, every referral, every vote, and every person who chooses to walk through my door.

Okay so apparently y’all are just as nosey and impatient as I am 😂🖤

I have gotten SO many messages like:

“DO YOU KNOW IF YOU WON YET?!”
“Come onnnn tell me, I won’t tell anybody.” 👀😂

Y’all… I HAVE NO IDEA.

I find out Thursday night just like everybody else and I am already stressed about it 😂

The whole awards ceremony is from 6–9 PM and I’m Category 49 — Best Local Massage Therapist, so could I tell you what time they’re actually going to announce mine?

Absolutely not. 😂

BUT once it starts getting close, I’m going Facebook Live right here on the Midguards Rest page so y’all can watch me have a completely normal and calm reaction…

Which obviously means probably panic, cry, laugh, shake, and forget how to act like a human. 😂
I’m going to totally fake being a normal functioning adult lol

Honestly though, the fact that so many of you are this excited to find out with me is ridiculously sweet.

So Thursday night, y’all are coming with me.

Win or lose… we’re finding out together. 🖤🏆

Okay y’all… this feels REALLY weird to say out loud. 🥹

I just got out of the book meeting and it’s official…

📚 THE BOOK IS COMING OUT NEXT WEEK!!!

I’m going to be a published author.

Even typing that feels strange because I’ve never been someone who likes to brag or make a huge deal about myself… but this is one of those moments where I’m trying to let myself actually be proud.

And then somehow, on top of that…

🏆 THIS THURSDAY I find out if Midguards Rest wins SOVA Best of the Best 2026 — Best Massage Therapist small business!!!

That one feels just as surreal.

Midguards Rest started as this little dream of mine, and now I’m sitting here looking at a book coming out, a Best of the Best finalist spot, and all these things I honestly never expected.

I don’t say any of this to have a big head. If anything, I still feel like the same person just trying to do good work, take care of people, and build something I’m proud of.

But I also know I need to stop brushing off the good stuff and let myself enjoy it when it happens.

So yeah…

I’m proud.
I’m emotional.
I’m nervous.
And I’m really, really grateful.

The next couple weeks are going to be a lot. 😂💙
