Therapeutic Play Dates are coming to KidTherapy!
At KidTherapy, we believe in looking at the whole child. Through OT, Speech, Physical Therapy, and Counseling/Play Therapy, we work together to help children build skills, confidence, and connections that support them in everyday life.
We’re excited to launch our Therapeutic Play Dates as another way to support our children.
These small, supportive groups give kids the opportunity to practice social skills, build peer relationships, explore emotions, and work toward their therapeutic goals—all through play.
October 10, 17 & 24
Small groups of 3–4 students
A fun way to connect, practice, grow, and build skills that can carry over to home and school.

Big feelings. Big challenges. Real strategies. Sometimes kids need a little extra support navigating the challenges of their school day. Through purposeful, directive activities, we help kids identify what they’re feeling, choose coping strategies and practice using those tools when things feel hard. Building self regulation, confidence and a sense of “I can handle this.”

Pokémon, I choose you! Our OT’s meet kids where they are, using their interests to create connection, motivation, support regulation, and help them engage in activities that might otherwise feel challenging or easy to avoid. When therapy is child driven and meaningful, kids are more engaged, regulated and ready to work towards goals they can help identify and prioritize. Sometimes it’s Pokemon, sometimes superheroes or princesses. Sometimes it’s something totally unexpected. When a child has a voice and some control in what they are working toward, therapy has more meaning and is FUN!

Back-to-school season brings new routines, new expectations, and a lot for little nervous systems to manage. 🎒

Creating a school survival kit for all of your child’s systems can help set them up for success. Think easy meals for their body, predictable routines for their brain, movement for their sensory system, extra connection for their emotions, and plenty of rest for recovery.

The goal isn’t a perfect transition. It’s giving your child the supports they need to feel safe, regulated, connected, and ready to learn.
