Last week, we welcomed providers from across Virginia and North Carolina for our Provider Immersion Event, bringing together professionals from the mountains to the sea.

From conversations and connections to exploring the beauty of our campus, the day was a chance to experience what makes Hidden River special. And of course, a few campus highlights made the trip extra memorable! 🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved having you here!

Today is World Mental Health Day, a reminder of the importance of caring for mental health alongside physical health.

Eating disorders can affect much more than someone’s relationship with food. Emotional and psychological well-being are important parts of the recovery process.

At Hidden River, our multidisciplinary team works together to support the whole person throughout treatment.

A beautiful fall afternoon of connection, community, and a little apple picking. 🍎

Yesterday, Hidden River hosted a Harvest Luncheon at Lyman’s Orchards in Middlefield, CT, bringing together colleagues and community partners for an afternoon of apple picking, lunch, and meaningful conversation.

Thank you to our hosts, Julie Rafferty, Jasmine Vega of Center for Discovery, and Neha Sharma of Wellbridge, for bringing everyone together and creating such a warm afternoon of connection.

We’re grateful for the relationships and community that continue to make this work so meaningful. 🍂

Questions about NGT feeding in eating disorder treatment?

In our latest blog, members of the Hidden River multidisciplinary team share their perspectives on when NGT feeding may be considered, what patients and families can expect, and how it can support nutritional rehabilitation as part of treatment.

The Q&A also explores the emotional experience of NGT feeding, the transition back to oral nutrition, and how our team supports patients throughout the process.

Every recovery story is different, and we are grateful to the individuals and families who trust us enough to share theirs.

Stories like this are a reminder of the courage it can take to seek support and the difference compassionate, individualized care can make.

At Hidden River, we are honored to walk alongside each patient and family as they work toward healing and a life beyond their eating disorder.

A new season can bring new routines, responsibilities, and challenges. If you’re navigating recovery this fall, remember that support can look like taking small, intentional steps each day.

Here are five gentle reminders to help you stay connected to your recovery this season.

Today, our team was at the 22nd Annual Renewed Eating Disorders Conference, an award-winning conference bringing together professionals dedicated to advancing eating disorder care and education.

Our very own Tamie Gangloff was a featured speaker, presenting “Eating Disorders & Chronic Illness: The Overlap Clinicians Can’t Ignore (MCAS, Ehlers-Danlos, Crohn’s, POTS, & the Mental Health Connection).”

We were also glad to connect with Lindsey Riley, VP of Business Development and Admissions at Onsite, throughout the conference.

It was a meaningful day of learning, connection, and important conversations around the intersection of eating disorders, chronic illness, and mental health.

Thank you to everyone who made today such a valuable opportunity for continued education and connection.
