A friend and a therapist can both support you — but they offer different kinds of care.
A friend may listen, relate, comfort, and remind you that you’re not alone.
A therapist offers a dedicated space to explore patterns, process emotions, challenge beliefs, and support lasting growth — without needing anything from you in return.
One is companionship.
One is intentional support.
Both can be valuable. Sometimes we need a friend beside us. Sometimes we need a trained guide to help us understand what’s underneath.
There’s no shame in needing both. 💛
