October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and today is Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day (BRA Day)!

While breast reconstruction won’t add years to your life it should add a bit more life to your years. When you can fill out your favorite outfit (or swimsuit) like you could before a double mastectomy (or even better) it can make the breast cancer journey a little easier.

Many great breast reconstruction options are available today! As you can see in the above patient, one approach can preserve the ni**le and have well very hidden incisions.

We said goodbye to a beloved member of our family, Bacon, on Saturday. The old boy went peacefully and on his own terms: ears up and eating peanut butter ice cream and, of course, bacon while Molly and I held him. We miss him so much.

The world just got a little less interesting.
