I’ve been volunteering as a reiki master at the Gathering Place for over a year. Performing reiki on cancer patients and their families changed me and my life. The Gathering Place offers all services (reiki, counseling, nutrition classes, yoga, wigs, art therapy, sound therapy, reflexology etc.) at no cost. Ya know how kids nowadays use the word "cringe?" Cringe nails how I view this podcast episode. But why? I put a podcast picture on my vision board over a year ago. Two wonderful women interviewed me. They gave me a platform to tell my story - a story that's important to share. So, why did I avoid posting links to the part 1 of this 2-part interview? Why do I presently feel so "cringe" about letting people listen? Because it feels uncomfortable inviting people to see all the parts of me. But I'm slowly learning that people, the world, and my own heart possess the capacity to love all those parts - even the seemingly messy, embarrassing pieces - maybe those pieces are the most human.
