95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

🧺🐺 Once upon a time... our residents got a very special visit from Little Red Riding Hood! 🍷✨

We enjoyed tasty snacks and took a trip through a storytelling w**e tasting! As we read bits of the classic tale, we sipped our way through the story, with each pour matching a moment along the path to Grandmother's house. 🌲

Our residents had an amazing outing! We kicked things off with a stop at St. Julian Winery where there was plenty of sipping, swirling, and sharing stories. Then we headed out for a delicious lunch to keep the good times rolling.

The laughs were plentiful, the company was top-notch, and the grapes? Well, they definitely did their part. 🍇

Our resdients came together to be ‘professional taste testers’ at our Cake Bake Off to support the Raindrops Rising Foundation, and it was a day full of joy, laughter, and more than a few second slices! 🎂

Everyone got to taste their way through the delicious entries and donate to their favorite. But the sweetest part wasn't the cake. It was watching our community come together for something bigger than themselves.

Together, our residents raised around $600 for this incredible foundation. Every dollar given, every smile shared, and every kind word said along the way made a difference.

To our residents: your generosity means more than you know. You showed us what it looks like when a community cares, and we are so proud of you. Thank you for filling our home with so much love. 💛

Congrats to our cake master Shelley for taking the win home with the most donations!!

🎉Pajama Party Perfection! 🎉

Our residents traded regular clothes for cozy pajamas and got together for a night of warm c***r, tasty snacks, and some seriously competitive Pictionary! ✏️🎨

Everyone brought their A-game with the sketches, but Syd's team clearly has some hidden artists on their hands because they took home the win! 🏆🤣 Who knew we had so much talent hiding under those pajamas?

We took a sweet break to say THANK YOU to the incredible housekeepers who keep our space clean, comfortable, and welcoming every single day! 🍦

We hosted an ice cream social in their honor — because their hard work deserves more than words, it deserves celebration! Each team member also went home with a custom cup as a small token of our big appreciation.

Behind every spotless room, every fresh set of linens, and every little detail that makes this place feel like home, there's a team working tirelessly … often unseen, always essential.

What a tailgate to remember! 🏈 our residents and staff really got into the spirit & wore their favorite team gear! Games, good food, brain-busting trivia, ice-cold snowcones & the perfect weather .. we had an absolute blast celebrating together!
A huge shoutout to Heart to Heart Hospice for keeping us cool with those amazing snowcones, and a big thank you to transitions for the awesome trivia prizes!
