Cemeteries are more than just resting places; they are meditative spaces, outdoor history books, and peaceful sanctuaries right here in our community.
We love seeing families and individuals take quiet walks along our pathways to reflect and remember. If you're planning your visits for the autumn season ahead, we look forward to welcoming you.

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we pause to pray for all those who have lost their lives to su***de, and for the families who carry the profound cross of their loss.

May our Lord grant eternal rest to those who have gone before us, and may His comforting presence surround all who mourn. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please remember that help is always near:

Jerry Michael Griego passed away on June 11, 2026, at the Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Casper, Wyoming.
He found his greatest peace and joy outdoors, spending countless treasured days fishing and camping at Lake Owen and Lake Hattie. In his later years, Jerry found great comfort in his daily routine, never missing an episode of his favorite show, Gunsmoke.
Jerry is survived by his loving children: Casey, Amanda, and Bethany, as well as four cherished grandchildren. He was also deeply loved and cared for by his devoted sisters, Liz and Laurie, and his brothers, Tim, Gary, and Thomas, who stood by his side with unwavering affection. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joe and Theresa, and his brothers, Joseph and Paul.
A burial will take place on September 11th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Olivet Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Cathedral of St. Mary's Hartmann Hall.
May God rest his soul.

For families and communities carrying the heavy, unique grief of losing a loved one to su***de, the journey can feel lonely and overwhelming. We want to walk alongside the many who are mourning, and we want you to know: your loved ones are always remembered here, and they are never beyond the reach of God's infinite mercy.

God reads every human heart, knows every struggle, and encompasses those who suffer with supreme compassion and love. "We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance" CCC 2283

This month, and always, we pray for the healing for all families and friends carrying this profound grief, peace for the souls of those who have died by su***de and openness in our communities to offer support, listening ears, and mental health resources without judgment.

Whether you choose to visit today with fresh flowers, share a quiet memory in your heart, or simply light a candle at home, we are holding space for you and honoring their legacy right alongside you.
