Recently, Erin McKinney and Madison Green were on KFBC to share an important conversation about maternal mental health, from pregnancy through postpartum.

Their message was a powerful reminder: Asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you or someone you love is struggling, you are not alone. Reach out to your OB/GYN or a trusted healthcare provider.

Resources like Wyoming 211 and Postpartum Support International can also help connect you with the care and support you deserve.

Thank you, Erin and Madison, for helping raise awareness and reminding families that support is available.

As RSV season approaches, now is a great time to talk with your child's healthcare provider about RSV preventive antibodies and whether your child is eligible for protection.

Stay informed. Stay proactive. Help keep little ones healthy!

RSV season is here, and protecting your little one from serious respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) lung infection is important.

If your baby is under 8 months old and has not yet received the RSV preventive antibody, we strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment. The preventive antibody cannot be administered once your baby is 8 months old.

This isn’t a vaccine—it’s a preventive antibody designed to provide an added layer of protection during your baby’s first RSV season. A preventive antibody is like a bodyguard, and a vaccine is like a self-defense instructor

RSV can affect any baby, but Hispanic infants under 12 months have had higher rates of RSV-related hospitalization. Taking steps to protect your little one can help give you added peace of mind this RSV season.

Call (307) 635-7961 to schedule an appointment. Our team can help determine the right time for your baby to come in and receive the RSV preventive antibody.

What happens when your heart falls out of its normal rhythm?

On this episode of our Inspire Great Health podcast, Dr. Daniel Wann, an electrophysiologist with the Heart & Vascular Institute, breaks down atrial fibrillation, or AFib. We talk about what AFib is, what it can feel like, who may be at risk and why it’s important to recognize and treat.

Your heart has its own normal rhythm, and knowing what’s normal for you can make it easier to notice when something feels different. Keeping up with regular checkups and preventive care is a simple way to stay connected to your heart health and bring any concerns to your care team.

🎧 Listen to the latest episode of Inspire Great Health to learn more about AFib and the signs to watch for. The full episode can be found here: youtube.com//podcasts

Hip pain can get in the way of the little things that make life enjoyable, from taking a walk to playing with the grandkids. If you or someone you care about is dealing with hip pain, the Movement Matters Orthopedics Symposium is a great place to learn more about your options.

Here are 5 reasons to join us:

Surgery isn’t always the only answer! Learn how physical therapy, pain management and other treatments may help you feel better and stay active.

3️⃣ Hear from local experts.
You’ll hear from orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael Shannon, physical therapist Thomas Bledsoe and pain management specialist Dr. Natalie Winter.

4️⃣ Bring your questions.
Wondering what treatment might look like or when it’s time to see a specialist? You’ll have a chance to ask questions during the symposium.

5️⃣ Take a step toward moving more comfortably.
Whether you’re experiencing hip pain yourself or helping someone you love, you’ll leave with information that can help you better understand the path forward.

We recognize people have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. The CDC has great information, we thought we’d share some. You can find more detail at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/index.html.

We pulled this information out about things we know, and things we are still learning.

1) We know that COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing COVID-19 disease, especially severe illness and death.

- We’re still learning how effective the vaccines are against variants of the virus that causes COVID-19. Early data show the vaccines may work against some variants but could be less effective against others.

2) We know that other prevention steps (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html) help stop the spread of COVID-19, and that these steps are still important, even as vaccines are being distributed.

- We’re still learning how well COVID-19 vaccines keep people from spreading the disease.

- Early data show that the vaccines may help keep people from spreading COVID-19, but we are learning more as more people get vaccinated.

3) We’re still learning how long COVID-19 vaccines can protect people.

4) As we know more, CDC will continue to update our recommendations for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

What are the benefits of vaccination?

1) The COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the United States have been shown to be highly effective at preventing COVID-19 and it is a safe way to build protection against a serious, potentially life-threatening disease.
2) After being fully vaccinated, you can:

- gather indoors with other fully vaccinated people without a mask
- gather indoors with unvaccinated people from ONE other household without masks (for example, visiting with relatives who all live together, as long as no one has symptoms).

3) If you have been around someone who tested positive for COVID-19 and you have been fully vaccinated, you will not need to quarantine or get tested UNLESS you have symptoms.
4) COVID-19 vaccines were tested in large clinical trials to make sure they meet safety standards and have been held to the same safety standards as all other vaccines.

Even if you are fully vaccinated, you will still need to follow guidance at your workplace and/or public spaces. We encourage you to schedule your vaccine today.
