MOTIVATION MONDAY
You could have NEVER convinced me then that I would be where I'm at now. I thought when I got sober I was just going to learn how to stop drinking, I had no idea recovery was going to offer me so much more than that. One of the greatest gifts I was given was learning that if I wanted something different, I needed to do something different. My life had become unrecognizable and I couldn't just sit around and wait for change to happen, I had to start taking actions. I have changed my life in EVERY way imaginable in sobriety. I have picked up the pieces and put myself back together over and over and over again, coming out on the other side stronger each time. If you have found yourself in a life you don't love, change it. Change is hard but it's also possible and most importantly, it's worth it. You deserve a life you love.
For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again. ― Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin
