☀️ We're loving the start of summer at Clarendale Six Corners! ☀️
Our residents have been enjoying a variety of enriching experiences both in the community and around Chicago!
📚 We kicked off our visit to the American Writers Museum with a special docent presentation before the outing. Having an expert guide us through the exhibits beforehand allowed residents to explore the museum on a deeper level and gain a greater appreciation for the stories and voices that have shaped American literature.
🍣 In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Ed led a fantastic cooking demonstration, teaching us how to make delicious maki rolls. We also went to a Japanesse BBQ where residents enjoyed learning new culinary skills while sharing in a meaningful cultural experience!
🕺 June has been full of groovy vibes! A fabulous 70s-inspired band had everyone singing along, and enjoying an afternoon of disco favorites and classic hits.
🌈 We also hosted a lively Drag Bingo event featuring two incredible hosts who kept the room laughing, entertained, and energized all afternoon! Their charisma, humor, and dazzling style made for an unforgettable experience.
🍻 Supporting our neighborhood community is always a highlight! Residents recently visited Old Irving Brewing Co. for a guided beer tasting, delicious food, and great company. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy a local favorite while learning more about the craft brewing process.
As the weather warms up, we're excited for even more adventures, learning opportunities,
entertainment, and connections throughout the summer. Here's to making memories together! ☀️❤️
