Work impacts more than your paycheck.

🍃 Talking to your therapist about work can help you process stress, relational dynamics, and capitalistic dynamics in environments that often prioritize productivity over mental health.

🪴 This is especially important for neurodivergent folks who may need extra support with managing and advocating for workplace accommodations in systems not designed with them in mind.

Follow for more ways to navigate work beyond productivity 💛

From home to work, patriarchy prevents men from building deeper, more equitable relationships, contributing to patterns of loneliness and isolation.

🌿 Just as it’s important for white people to actively participate in dismantling racism, men also have a responsibility to actively challenge and dismantle patriarchy.

If you’re looking to break these cycles, HTV founder specializes in supporting men in deconstructing patriarchy and building healthier relationships 💚

“Healthy” masculinity is the starting point, not the finish line.

🌼 Dr. Areán encourages us to reimagine masculinity not just as regulated or responsible, but as joyful, present, and fully alive in all relationships.

🍃 This means men deserve the freedom to show up as emotionally active fathers, partners, friends, and community members who lead with care and connection.

If you are looking to push past the limits of masculinity, visit our website to learn more about our approach to therapy 💙

Patriarchy harms men because it disconnects them from vulnerability, relational care, and the full range of their humanity.

🌱 These affirmations support men in challenging those inherited patterns and practicing new ways of being that center accountability, emotional awareness, and relational repair.

Share and follow as we continue exploring how to challenge oppressive systems and build more connected relationships 💛

Father–son relationships often shape how masculinity, power, and patriarchy are passed on from generation to generation.

🌷 It is essential for fathers to build new patterns with their sons that center emotional vulnerability, mutual care, and connection in place of shutdown, dominance, and disconnection.

HTV therapists can support fathers in creating new ways of relating through individual or family therapy 🧡

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are real and deeply misunderstood mental health concerns that can impact both individuals and relationships during pregnancy and postpartum.

🌻 New parenthood is considered to be the most stressful life transition and can exacerbate already existing challenges for couples, which is why a relational approach is essential.

🪴 LMFT and HTV therapist, Michela Stevenson has advanced training and certification in perinatal mental health and supports clients navigating PMADs with compassion, depth, and clinical care.

Because we are socialized within systems like patriarchy that prioritize dominance and control, many of us haven’t been taught the difference between consent and coercion in relationships.

🪴 Consent says, “Your wants and needs matter, and I want to move at a pace that feels right for everybody.”

🌿 Coercion says, “My desire matters more, and I need you to agree because I have control over you.”

Learning what true consent looks and feels like helps us unlearn these patterns and move toward relationships rooted in mutual respect, autonomy, and shared power.

If you need support or have experienced abuse, please visit our website to learn how HTV can support your healing journey 💛
