Robert W. Scott, age 69, passed away on August 5, 2026.

Robert grew up in Mt. Greenwood and resided in Orland Park, Illinois. He was the son of the late William and Yolanda Scott. He was preceded in death by his siblings, William Scott Jr. and Joanne Harding. He is survived by his sister, Theresa McAley, and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a graduate of Brother Rice High School and Northern Illinois University. He spent much of his working life managing multiple paint stores. Later in his career, he worked in property management alongside his longtime friend, Danny Crout.

Robert had a lifelong love of music, especially Jethro Tull and other classic rock bands. He also enjoyed watching sports and classic television. He especially valued time spent visiting and staying connected with his college friends.

Robert will be remembered for the connections he shared with family, the friendships he cherished throughout his life, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. As a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, he touched the lives of many and leaves behind treasured memories that will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

David Devlin

Following more than a month of excellent care, Dave passed away on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at Odgen Regional Medical Center, Odgen, Utah

Dave was born and raised in the Mt. Greenwood area of Chicago. His beloved parents were the late Philip and Annie Devlin, of Chicago, who had emigrated from Ireland. Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick.

Dave attended St. Christina School and Morgan Park High School. Adventurous, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Navy. The service experiences allowed him to travel and gain knowledge and skills of the sheet metal and aircraft maintenance. With this experience, Dave was able to work as a contractor in the airline industry and live all over the world.

Since his retirement, he has enjoyed time at the local dog park with his dogs, Beckie and Ivan. A collector of many friends, he has been described as generous, crazy, fun, kind, loyal and supportive.

Dave is survived by his brothers Peter (Joannie), Jim (Cynthia), Matt (Yvonne), his sisters Eileen Devlin, Peggy (the late Jim) Casey, and Bridget (Dan) Sullivan.

Dave was the proud uncle of Matthew, Rose, Annie Eckles, Tessa and Kelli Devlin, Jim P. Casey, Bridget Casey Weber, Philip Casey, and Thomas, Peter, and David Sullivan. Dave was pleased to be Great Uncle to Koa, Naomi, Freya, Rowan, Sloane, Delaney, Riley, Evelyn, Vivienne, and wee Presley.

A Celebration of the Life of David Devlin will be held at St. Christina Church, 3342 West 111th Street, Chicago, on August 7th at 11:30 a.m. Inunrment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. 773-779-4411
