Mary Eileen Reilly, longtime resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully with her siblings by her side after a long and courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Cherished daughter of the late James T. and the late Anne M. (nee Donnelly) Reilly. Dearest sister of Patrcia (Mike) Egan and James P. (Marikay) Reilly. Beloved aunt of Katie (Zach) Hazen, Jimmy (Colleen Niehoff), Jeanne (Kevin Wrobel), Patrick (Rachel), Colleen Reilly and Clare Egan. Adoring great aunt of Thomas Reilly and Maeve Wrobel; Avery, James, Cooper and Eloise Reilly; and Lukas and Reilly Hazen. College roommate, soul sister and lifelong friend of the devoted Joanne Glover.
Mary retired from IBM after a successful and decorated career as Technology Consultant. Earlier career endeavors included being Project Manager and committed aficionado of Chiquita Banana International; Ernst & Young; and University of Chicago Hospital System.
Personal pastimes included international travel, modern art, music, entertaining and all things tennis. An avid sportswoman, Mary also enjoyed golf, hiking – including summiting Pike’s Peak – and downhill skiing. Mary enjoyed sharing her passions with friends and family and always enjoyed finding the joyful and humorous stories of life.
Mary was incredibly thankful for her talented team of medical specialists, both in Colorado and Chicago, as well as her friends and caretakers who helped bring humanity and dignity during her battle. Mary’s Fort Collins circle of friends were great sources of strength and comfort.
