At Chicago Family Doulas, emergencies are rare, but we know that birth is unpredictable. Making sure our families feel supported and cared for, even when the unexpected happens, has always been one of our biggest priorities.

That’s why we’re so excited to introduce Shelley, our dedicated full-time backup birth doula!

Shelley has been part of the Chicago Family Doulas team for over a decade and has supported hundreds of births. She’s also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and postpartum doula, bringing an incredible amount of knowledge, compassion, and experience to every family she supports.

Shelley is truly one of a kind. She’s loved by our team and the families she cares for, and we couldn’t think of a better person to step into this important role.
