Probably the wildest idea for a vegetarian BBQ, Manischewitz KNISH KEBABS. Because who says knishes are just a side, they are the whole damn meal. |AD

Pickles from the jar. Long runs. Olives. Fresh challah. Shabbat.

Tiny things, mostly.

If your version of self-care also involve carbs, community, and an emotional support pickle, I have a feeling we’re going to get along just fine 🤗

Stick around! ✶

May ended and apparently I left part of my brain in Korea.

Mostly the part that was eating all of the vegan kimchi 🫣

I’ve been home for weeks and I’m still thinking about the food, wondering... “what if I made this Jewish?!”

Current ideas include:
- gochujang honey hummus
- kimchi latkes
- black sesame babka
- TBD but something probably involving pickles

Which one should I test out first? 👀

Anyway, here’s a small Korea photo dump before I fully pivot into testing Korean-Jewish recipes in my kitchen 🫶🏻

Proof that joy is actually pretty simple!

Not saying these solve all my problems. Just saying they haven't made any of them worse 😉

Hands up if you'll be hosting Shabbat this week!

I firmly believe themed dinner parties are one of adulthood’s greatest joys. Giving people a little structure, a little silliness, and a whole lot of food somehow makes everyone loosen up immediately!

Also, nothing reveals a person faster than asking them what they’d bring to a “Guilty Pleasures Potluck” 🫢

I rounded up 12 of my favorite dinner party themes over on my substack Little Bites, including retro cookbook nights, dip-only parties, and more deeply specific hosting ideas.

I genuinely think a lot of people would cook more if we stopped acting like every meal needs to become a three-act production.

Cooking became much easier once I stopped trying to “perform” it correctly and started treating it like tiny daily acts of care, creativity, and occasionally emotional support. Plus, a candle and a good playlist can convince me to do almost anything 😉

What’s your ultimate low-effort, girl dinner-esque, comfort meal? I need new ideas ✶

Shavuot is one of my favorite holidays because it’s essentially an excuse to disregard my lactose intolerance and eat an alarming amount of dairy in one sitting.

There’s always Lactase served alongside your blintzes at my house 🤭

If you’re still figuring out your menu, my cookbook Nosh has you covered ✶

Wishing everyone celebrating a very happy, cozy, dairy-filled Shavuot! 💐

Three words: tahini blueberry blintz. Because sometimes the best things are made with a few shortcuts. Obsessed with this take on PB&J air fried blintzes made with blueberry blintzes!
