As a breast radiologist, Dr. Bhole is a passionate advocate for early detection, healthcare innovation, education, and equitable access to care. Her work is a powerful reminder that meaningful progress happens when we use our voices to educate, empower, and help break down barriers to care.

It's almost here! SRU Annual Meeting – October 16-18, 2026

We are excited to highlight Dr. Helena Gabriel, President of the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU), as the organization prepares for its 2026 Annual Meeting in Chicago. Northwestern will be strongly represented by speakers including Dr. Helena Gabriel, Dr. Amir Borhani, Dr. Andrew Gordon, Dr. Bradley Hernyk, Dr. Laura Kulik, Dr. Daniel Borja-Cacho, Dr. Ritu Nayar, Dr. Cord Sturgeon, as well as sonographers Julia Michalek and Izabella Karney. Our Northwestern speakers will round out an incredible program with other global experts in the field of ultrasound and body imaging.

Northwestern Radiology is proud to be represented at the Society of Advanced Body Imaging (SABI) Conference by Drs. Anu Gayathri, M.D. and Frank H. Miller, M.D., FSABI this upcoming week in Savannah, GA. Dr. Gayathri will be a panelist for discussions on Becoming a New Faculty and Successful IMG Applications to Residency and Fellowship in 2027. She will also conduct the workshop, Success Strategies Career Track Workshop. Dr. Miller, Chief of Body Imaging and Medical Director of MR, will be presenting GI Imaging Challenges. Wishing them both an impactful experience!

Congratulations to our Northwestern University researchers whose papers were selected for presentation at the prestigious MICCAI 2026 Conference!

MICCAI 2026, the 29th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention, received a record number of submissions this year, with an acceptance rate of only 27%.

This recognition speaks to the impact of the innovative work being conducted by our researchers in medical imaging, artificial intelligence, and image-guided healthcare.

Proud to share that our very own, Dr. Frank Miller, M.D., FACR, FSAR, FSABI gave three presentations at the 24th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR) in Singapore, held in conjunction with the 34th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Singapore Congress of Radiology (SGCR), focusing on pancreatic imaging and imaging challenges following transarterial embolization.
