Someone recently got on today’s internet and told the world that female or***ms produce nothing.

Ahem - I hope they’re following along and taking 📝 .

By the way - or***ms aren’t defined by whether fluid is emitted or not. Or***ms are whole body experiences that complete the sexual cycle and are natural for all bodies to want to reach during intimacy.

When did you first learn about Juneteenth?

As an adult?
Just now?

Juneteenth was taught to me in high school growing up in Texas but was not something I saw celebrated by most until the last 5-10 years.

For many Black Americans - June 19, 1865 when the last American enslaved person was freed - feels like the more fitting celebration of independence. July 4, 1776 didn’t free enslaved Black persons.

If you don’t know anything about Juneteenth- I recommend learning about this important American holiday and how it came to finally be a recognized national day of remembrance through the work of Opal Lee.

Research consistently shows that Black patients often report greater trust, communication, satisfaction, and engagement when cared for by Black physicians. Patients who feel seen, heard, and understood are more likely to seek care, ask questions, return for follow-up, and participate in treatment.

This isn’t about saying Black doctors are better doctors.

It’s about recognizing that representation DOES matter. Not just figuratively but for the health & longevity of disenfranchised groups.

It’s about acknowledging that lived experience can shape trust.

It’s about ensuring that patients who want a physician who looks like them can find one.
