🚨 FEDERAL UPDATE: CANNABIS & VETERANS 🚨

The President has directed federal agencies to move cannabis from Schedule I → Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act.

What this means (and doesn’t):
• ✅ Federal recognition of medical value
• ✅ Research barriers begin to fall
• ✅ More room for clinical studies & provider education
• ❌ NOT federal legalization
• ❌ NOT automatic VA coverage or prescriptions
• ❌ NOT job-protection guarantees (yet)

Why TGZ exists in this moment:
Veterans must not be left behind—again. Schedule III opens doors for science, safety, and equity, but only if veterans are intentionally included in research, policy, and education.

The North Carolina state Senate voted to pass medical ma*****na legalization in an initial vote on Thursday.

The measure must pass the Senate a second time before heading to the state House, where Republicans repeatedly have blocked legal medical cannabis access. State lawmakers on Wednesday added medical ma*****na into a bill originally meant to regulate h**p.

The updated bill would legalize cannabis for people with a “debilitating medical condition,” the Associated Press reported.

That legislation passed the Senate with a vote of 33-9; nine Republicans voted in favor of the bill, according to AP.
