To the girl who’s always trying harder to be better:

🙌We appreciate your drive. We see the effort.

🤍And we’re not going to tell you to stop caring, lower your standards, or throw away the planner. We love planners.

🤔But we are curious about whether more discipline is actually the thing that’s going to get you where you want to go.

➡️ Because there will always be another way to optimize.

➡️ A better morning routine. More consistency. Finally sticking to the plan. Getting the people around you on board.

💡Sometimes what we discover in therapy is that the problem isn’t a lack of discipline at all.

💡It’s that the plan only works when everything goes according to plan.

✨So instead of trying harder to perfect the plan, we work together to build the skills that make it more resilient: emotional resilience, flexibility, time/energy management, values alignment and knowing when to push, when to pivot, and when good enough is actually enough.

✨Yeah, the skills they didn’t teach you in school, but you probably wish they had.

🧠Let’s talk about one of those skills: psychological flexibility.

🧠In plain language? It’s the ability to adapt to what’s happening around you and within you without losing yourself or losing sight of what matters.

🗓️The routine got thrown off → you find the next best thing.

🥱You’re exhausted and barely touched the to-do list → you adjust the expectation and pivot instead of deciding you’re lazy.

🙈Someone behaves poorly → you trust your read on it without needing their behavior to change before you can feel okay.

✅Different days get to have different definitions of success.

🤍Because high-performing women don’t need lives that depend on everything going perfectly.

🤍They need enough flexibility that falling short of perfect doesn’t keep them from reaching excellence.

👀And sometimes that’s what we discover together in therapy:

➡️The beliefs keeping you stuck.
➡️The patterns that aren’t working anymore.
➡️The skills that actually move the needle.
…And how to integrate them into your life.

If you tend to lose your words during conflict, the problem likely isn’t that you “don’t know how to communicate.”
You might understand exactly what you need and still struggle to express it when the stakes feel personal. The root may be in how you stay connected in those moments.

Sometimes workplace self-doubt isn’t about a lack of confidence. It can be a pattern you had to rely on in the past popping up again, whether it’s overthinking your decisions, scanning for reassurance, replaying conversations, or feeling like you need to prove yourself even when you’re objectively doing well.
The important question isn’t just “why do I keep second-guessing myself?” It’s “Where does that doubt come from?”
Therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from, challenge the beliefs keeping them in place, and develop a different way of responding, so you’re not constantly second-guessing yourself.
Let’s talk about it. Link in bio for a free consultation.

When you’re used to being the capable one, it can be hard to recognize when you’re struggling.
While you might be meeting deadlines, showing up for your relationships, taking care of everyone else, and accomplishing the things you’ve worked hard for. But underneath the productivity, you might be experiencing anxiety, emotional exhaustion, irritability, perfectionism, disconnection, or a constant feeling that you’re falling behind.
High-functioning doesn’t mean healthy. And you don’t need to wait until you’re in crisis to seek support.
You deserve support even when you’re still getting everything done.

You look on social and are bombarded with weddings, group trips, and women out at dinners, concerts, and parties with their friends, and you’re home alone on a Saturday night. Everyone else seems to have a friend group, but it’s exhausting to find friends with your busy schedule.
This scenario isn’t as uncommon as people think. High performers especially can feel this pressure while juggling their lives, and it can feel like another job to find a friend group. However, there are ways to navigate this and share your successes with a community.
Remember, you are worthy of meaningful connections and of a village that supports one another.
