Our creative residents competed against each other to see who could create the spookiest floor lobby. The 4th floor residents did an outstanding job and took home the pumpkin trophy! As they judged, they celebrated on each floor with apple c***r mimosas & halloween treats. All of the floors really worked hard on their designs and now the community looks extra SPOOKTACULAR!

Fall is in the air! Yesterday a group of residents enjoyed a trip to Starved Rock. They enjoyed a trolley tour to view the fall colors & went on a short hike.

PROST! The Smith Village community celebrated Oktoberfest with a b**r tasting featuring homemade Sourdough Pretzel bites and the festive sounds of the Alpine Thunder Oktoberfest band.

The ladies of Smith Village were on the move during Tea Around Town. They enjoyed “high tea” on the perfectly pink tea bus while sightseeing around Chicago. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with the girls!

Meet Ray Marneris, Smith Senior Living Chief Financial Officer. You would think that his job is a numbers, numbers, numbers, but Ray views his position as a service to the residents.

His #1 responsibility is to protect the resident’s asset, known as the entrance fee.
His #2 responsibility is to the Smith Senior Living Board of Trustees to ensure they are aware of the organization’s financial position so they can make intelligent business decisions.

Ray is a very dedicated father and grandfather to his three children and 10 grandchildren, and continues to be active in all family dynamics, including checking on his father (who is 99) and taking care of “Dad's” home.

Ray is a true asset to our communities. He is a wonderful, dedicated man who considers Smith Senior Living to be his mission.
