This fall, CWHC is offering three different Counseling Groups! Today, we're highlighting our upcoming Q***r Process Group. This 24-week group offers a supportive space for Q***r/LGBTQIA+ individuals to explore interpersonal patterns, practice communicating thoughts and feelings openly, and share and receive feedback. Process groups often help participants establish community, gain self-understanding, and relate to others in new ways.

Group participants will have the opportunity to weigh in on the focus of group sessions. The group will be cofacilitated by counselors who identify as Q***r and/or LGBTQIA+ and will be a trans-affirming, anti-racist space.

This opportunity is available to individuals using insurance or accessing our sliding scale. The sliding scale for group sessions is $60-$15 per session. No one will be turned away based on their ability to pay.

To learn more about this group, visit www.chicagowomenshealthcenter.org/queer-process-group . To register, fill out our Contact Request Form at www.bit.ly/CounselingContactRequest (case sensitive).

Have you wanted your voice to better align with your identity but don’t know where to begin? Or perhaps you have gone down the rabbit hole of online offerings only to feel overwhelmed or misguided, or you don’t know how to embody the exercises you’ve found? In Level 1 of our Aligning Voice with Identity Series, participants will spend four sessions learning a holistic approach to gender-affirming voice that prioritizes confidence, ease, and authenticity.

CWHC’s Aligning Voice with Identity series is hosting a 4-part virtual educational series during the month of September. Sessions will take place in both the morning and the evening on the following Tuesdays: September 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Participants may sign up for either morning classes from 10 - 11am CT or evening classes from 7:30-8:30 CT. We ask that participants stick to either the morning or evening time slot, rather than switching back and forth.

This series is available on a sliding scale, with no one turned away based on ability to pay. To learn more and register, visit www.chicagowomenshealthcenter.org/aligning-voice-with-identity .

What could be more chic than affordable health care? 🩵

August is Illinois Free and Charitable Clinics Month! As a proud member clinic of the Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (IAFCC), we are highlighting the vital role IAFCC plays in providing accessible health care and health education. Throughout 2026, CWHC's accessible health care services have subsidized $167K of medical expenses that would have otherwise come out of pocket for folks seeking services. This is made possible by the support of IAFCC and the network created by all other member clinics.

Thank you, IAFCC, for your continued support of community-centered care and helping us build a more equitable health care system!
