There is seemingly something different about this moment.
For so long, it has felt like we’ve been asked to let go.
Old relationships.
Old identities.
Old patterns.
Old versions of ourselves.
Old ideas of what life was supposed to look like.
And lately I’ve found myself wondering…
What else is there left to let go of?
With the energy surrounding this eclipse and full moon, there is almost a sense of a life review happening.
As though everything we’ve lived, learned, loved, lost, and outgrown is passing through our awareness one more time.
Not because we are meant to go back.
But perhaps because we are finally able to see that nothing resembling the old way of being can come with us into what is next.
There is a threshold energy here.
A feeling of standing at the precipice of a completely different reality while still having absolutely no idea what that reality looks like.
I know this space well.
I have lived in the in-between for what feels like forever.
No longer who I was.
Not yet able to see who I am becoming.
But lately, something feels different.
Something feels like it is breaking wide open.
I still can’t see what is on the other side…
but I can feel something shifting.
And strangely, I am beginning to find pieces of myself again through my body.
Through movement.
Through music.
Through breath.
Through allowing my body to lead when my mind doesn’t have the answers.
Not forcefully.
Gently.
Because maybe this isn’t a time to push ourselves through another transformation.
Maybe we don’t need to tear down another wall, dig for another wound, or force ourselves to become anything at all.
Maybe we can be gentle with ourselves as whatever no longer belongs begins to fall away.
And maybe the final thing we are being asked to release isn’t another person, another story, or another piece of our past.
Maybe it’s control.
The need to know.
The need to understand the timing.
The need to see the path before we’re willing to take the next step.
The instinct to tighten our grip when we can’t see what’s coming.
What if this threshold is asking us to do the opposite?
To loosen our grip.
To soften.
To trust that we are protected even when we cannot see where we are going.
To trust that we are being guided even when the next chapter hasn’t revealed itself yet.
And perhaps most importantly…
To make space to receive what is trying to find us.
Maybe surrender isn’t giving up.
Maybe surrender is no longer fighting so hard to hold together a version of ourselves that is already falling away.
Maybe what looks like breaking down is actually breaking open.
Maybe what feels like losing pieces of ourselves is actually shedding what was never meant to come with us.
And maybe rising doesn’t mean becoming someone completely new.
Maybe it means returning to ourselves…
More embodied.
More open.
More trusting.
More willing to receive.
We don’t have to rush the process.
We don’t have to know what’s on the other side yet.
For now, perhaps it is enough to move when the body wants to move.
Rest when it asks for rest.
Be gentle with ourselves in the becoming.
Loosen our grip on what was.
And trust that eventually we won’t just be walking toward the light.
We’ll remember that the light was within us all along.
