Near the end of last year, Hannah, a mom and healthcare worker from Florida, became laser-focused on self-improvement and reclaiming control of her future. She decided it was the perfect time to get back on track with a few personal goals she’d set for herself long before quarantine.

One of these goals, was to get her body back and get rid of stubborn fat in her problem areas.

Hannah began exercising every day. Despite hardwork and consistency, she wasn't seeing the results that she wanted.

As we continue celebrating women leaders in honor of , we love what Melody, our Senior Patient Manager, would say if she could talk to her 20-year-old-self.

"Stop and take it all in! At the age of 20 I thought I had all the answers, I was already starting my own business creating my path and forging ahead. But when it really came down to it, I was eager to grow up and live a life that I admired many having. But in return I was actually missing what was around me, missing the moments that would make me the person I am today, overlooking the people to inspired me the most just so I can keep up with the people that I admired so much. If I could go back, I would take each moment, each opportunity and thrive in it, learn from it and again share it. Being in your 20’s is hard enough, we don’t need to make it harder by wishing we had more! Embrace your youth, strength and mistakes it only makes us stronger as we become those that we once if not still admire today."

"I am firm believer that most women will rise to the occasion, handle everything thrown at them, and come out the other side a better mom, leader, coworker, and friend. Lean on your mom friends, vent to your trusted advisors, and learn from a mentor. We got this!

Ask for help. Have a late meeting and soccer practice? Find out if your sister can grab the kiddo and do drop off duty. It took me a long time to learn to use my resources. Believe it or not, the people around you want to help and want to see you succeed. It takes a village, after all. And remember to help out your sis when she needs it too 😊

Give yourself grace. Not everything you do will be perfect. And that is ok. You’re still killing it providing for your kids and being the expert resource at work! Take pride in your ability to juggle it all, have the answers when you can, and be a soft place for your kids to land. They need YOU, imperfections and all.

Never stop learning. Dig deep to find self-motivation and strive to reach new goals. It’s easy to become stagnant and complacent. Your on-going health and happiness will depend largely on your ability to follow through and execute. Don’t forget: your kids are watching. It helps me to remember I am setting an example every day for my girls. I envision being what I hope to see for them in the future."

Kiely, a Senior Patient Care Consultant at shared this advice for working moms, "I make sure to make time for self-care. It could be something as simple as a glass of wine and a bath, an overnight with a friend, or if I am really lucky a girls trip to Mexico. Mostly, I take a load off with some retail therapy. As mothers, we are the back bone of the family and making sure we feel mentally strong is how we can keep this family train moving along. My patients remind me everyday that I don’t have to put myself last."
