Since 1954, Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) has grown from one child in Mexico into a mission serving children and families across Latin America and the Caribbean. Today, that mission continues through residential programs, community programs, and access to health services, including specialized care for children and high-risk mothers at St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti.

At NPH Haiti St. Damien Pediatric Hospital, care is present in life’s most critical moments—and in its most joyful ones. Earlier this month, a woman arrived seeking care for what she believed would be the birth of one child. Instead, doctors discovered she was carrying triplets, and they were ready to be delivered.

With a skilled medical team and a prepared neonatology department, all three babies were safely delivered and cared for from their very first moments of life. Today, that mother and her three healthy babies are home. What could have been a complex situation became a moment of safety and new life—because St. Damien was there.
