Dura emphasizes a dual approach toward addressing mental, emotional, and physical needs of our patients by first gaining an understanding of each person by listening and "talk therapy." If appropriate, medication can be added to augment treatment with goals of, addressing underlying causes, achieving symptom relief, and increasing quality of life. Treatment may also include a variety of formats such as individual, group, couples, or team therapies. The approach is personalized for each individual patient- turning every issue and obstacle into an opportunity to grow, from Strength to Strength.

Before there was a practice, there was a purpose.

Before opening Dura in 2016, Dr. O spent years serving clients while collaborating with professionals and organizations, including those within professional sports. Through those experiences, one thing became increasingly clear. Individuals, particularly those living and performing in the public eye, needed a place where they could receive remarkable mental health care without sacrificing their privacy.

That realization became our foundation.

The practice was built to be a private, safe space where confidentiality, compassion, and clinical excellence could exist together. While that vision was born from the unique needs of high-profile clients, it was never meant to be non-inclusive. From the very beginning, the same standard of care has been extended to everyday Chicagoans, athletes, performers, executives, and anyone seeking a trusted place to heal, grow, and thrive.

Nearly a decade later, that mission has expanded beyond Chicago, allowing the practice to support clients nationally and internationally without losing sight of why it all began.

Because everyone deserves exceptional care and everyone deserves the privacy to receive it, from strength to strength.
