Big news! Mobile Kitchen Project has a new name, we’re now Schoolhouse Mobile Kitchen!

Same mission, bigger vision: bringing hands-on culinary education straight to schools and communities across the Chicago area. To match our next chapter, we also launched a brand new website making it easier than ever for schools and partners to learn what we’re all about and start cooking with us!

Schoolhouse will be making homemade tortillas/quesadillas again this year!

Festival del Niño is a beloved tradition at the National Museum of Mexican Art, inspired by Día del Niño, a celebration that recognizes the joy, value, and importance of children in our communities.

This free family-friendly festival is all about coming together to celebrate kids with games, activities, health services, and plenty of fun for everyone. It’s a day filled with culture, connection, and community spirit.
