✨ What if your yoga practice could calm your mind before you even step onto the mat? 🌿

Yoga with essential oils is more than just a relaxing class—it’s a full sensory experience. As you move, breathe, and slow your nervous system, carefully selected essential oils help create an environment that encourages relaxation, mindfulness, and presence.

Depending on the class, you may notice calming lavender, grounding cedarwood, uplifting citrus, or other thoughtfully chosen blends to complement the intention of the practice. Combined with mindful movement and breathwork, the aromas can help you settle into the moment, release the stress of the day, and leave feeling refreshed from the inside out.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this is a beautiful way to reconnect with your body and give your nervous system the reset it deserves.

Have you ever experienced yoga with essential oils, or are you ready to see what makes it so special? 🌿

What would happen if you could actually see, hear, and reshape your anxiety?

In this somatic visualization exercise, Samara guides you to imagine your anxiety, panic, or grief as something you can observe.

What does it look like?
What does it sound like?
Does it have a color, shape, size, texture, temperature, or movement?

Once you have created the image, you slowly begin changing it. Turn down the volume. Make the image smaller. Soften the color. Slow the movement. Move it farther away. Change one detail at a time and notice how your body responds.

This technique can help because anxiety and grief are not only experienced through thoughts—they are also felt throughout the body. Giving the feeling a form can make it feel more manageable, while intentionally changing parts of the visualization can help reduce its intensity and restore a sense of control.

This can be especially helpful during:

• Anxiety or racing thoughts
• Panic or overwhelm
• Grief and emotional pain
• Physical tension
• Moments when feelings seem too big to explain

Watch Samara guide you through the exercise here and try it along with her. It may feel simple, but it really works.

What part of your visualization would you change first?

Have you ever noticed how much stress you carry in your shoulders without even realizing it?

Our bodies often hold onto tension long after the stressful moment has passed. In this video, Samara walks me through a simple somatic shoulder exercise designed to help release built-up tension, increase body awareness, and gently signal safety to the nervous system.

Somatic exercises aren’t about stretching harder—they’re about slowing down, tuning in, and allowing your body to let go of what it no longer needs to hold. Even just a few mindful minutes can help reduce stress, improve mobility, and leave you feeling more grounded.

Sometimes healing doesn’t start with talking—it starts with listening to what your body has been trying to tell you all along. Join us for somatic therapy, classes or services.

Have you ever tried using your own voice to help your body release stress?

Samara reaches me how to use the “voooo” sound as a simple somatic practice that combines vibration with a long, controlled exhale. Take a comfortable breath in, then slowly breathe out while making a deep:

“Voooooooo…”

Allow the sound to come from low in your belly and chest rather than forcing it from your throat. You may notice the vibration moving through your chest, throat, face, or even your entire body.

Why can it feel so regulating? The extended exhale naturally slows your breathing, while the humming-like vibration provides steady sensory input that can help bring your attention out of racing thoughts and back into your body. Slow breathing and humming practices have been associated with changes in heart-rate variability and increased parasympathetic activity—the part of the nervous system involved in rest, recovery, and regulation. (PubMed Central)

Want to add another layer of relief?

Begin with the low “voooo,” then gradually open and expand your mouth, allowing the sound to transform into a gentle:

“Voooooo… ROARRRR!”

Opening the jaw and making a fuller sound can help release held tension in the face, throat, chest, and shoulders. The roar may also provide a safe, intentional outlet for energy that feels trapped inside—especially frustration, anger, restlessness, or the urge to fight or flee.

This practice may be helpful when you feel:

• Anxious or overstimulated
• Stuck in racing thoughts
• Tightness in your jaw, chest, or throat
• Irritable, frustrated, or emotionally restricted
• Disconnected from your body
• In need of grounding before or after a stressful moment

Keep the sound comfortable rather than forceful. Try three to five rounds, pause between each one, and notice whether your breathing, muscles, or emotional state begin to shift.

Would you try the calming “voooo,” the releasing roar—or both?
