I'm pleased to share our newly published AAHKS Position Statement on OrthoBiologics for Advanced Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis!

As biologic injections such as PRP, stem cells, and bone marrow aspirate concentrate are increasingly offered to patients with advanced hip and knee arthritis, often at significant out-of-pocket cost, it is essential that recommendations be grounded in evidence. This position statement reviews the current data and regulatory landscape and provides guidance for clinicians counseling patients on these treatments. Thank you to my co-authors!

Dr. Yining Lu recently completed his time on our service! 🦴

It was a pleasure having Yining as part of our team over the past few months. His dedication, collaborative spirit, and enthusiasm made him a valued member of the service, and he was a pleasure to work with both in the clinic and the OR. We appreciate all of his hard work, contributions to our research efforts, and the positive impact he had on everyone around him. We wish Yining continued success at UT Southwestern and look forward to following his future accomplishments!

Great reconnecting at the 2026 AANA Annual Meeting with former co-residents Seth L. Sherman, MD (Stanford University) and Luke S. Oh, MD (Rothman Orthopaedics Florida / AdventHealth Orlando)!

We're proud of the Rush team for presenting and contributing research throughout the meeting as we continue advancing hip arthroscopy, preservation, and reconstruction techniques. Always valuable to exchange ideas, discuss innovation in hip preservation and sports medicine, and see the continued impact of mentorship and collaboration across institutions.
