How to build healthy bones while following a vegan or vegetarian diet!

It can be difficult, and I speak from experience. It took me about three years to get over eating beans, but now I’m back in love with them!

However, there’s something important that many people don’t realize. If you aren’t eating fermented foods or soaking and sprouting your grains, seeds, and beans, you may be consuming higher levels of antinutrients.

These compounds can interfere with mineral absorption, making it harder for your body to get the nutrients it needs to build and maintain strong bones.

This is especially important for vegans and vegetarians, particularly women as they get older and transition into menopause.

Soaking your beans is important! It’s a simple step that can make a difference in how your body accesses the nutrients in your food.

Nutrients your body needs to build healthy bones!

Hopefully, you love onions and garlic. I do! I put them in almost everything, and my family can certainly attest to that. I’m blessed because they don’t seem to stick to me or affect my breath. I don’t know why, but maybe I’m supposed to roll in them like a dog! 😂

That being said, chopping or cooking with onions and garlic releases sulfur compounds that can help increase the bioavailability of certain nutrients, including iron and zinc.

Both minerals are essential and play important roles in building and maintaining healthy bones!

Plus, mosquitoes might not like you! 🤓

Want to build strong, healthy bones? Don’t overlook vitamins A, D, E, and K! These fat-soluble vitamins play important roles in bone health, but your body needs dietary fat to absorb them properly.

I’m a fan of sublingual liquid supplements, and Biotics Research offers an ADEK Forte formula worth exploring.

☕ One more thing: Your daily habits matter! Be mindful of how tea, coffee, and dairy fit into your overall nutrition. Bone health depends on getting the right nutrients in the right amounts.

And cow’s milk? That’s a whole other conversation! 😅 We’ll save that topic for another day.

Want to build healthy bones from the inside out? Don’t overlook protein bioavailability!

Your body needs all nine essential amino acids to build and maintain the bone matrix, the internal scaffolding that gives your bones structure and strength.

But eating protein isn’t the whole story. Your body must also be able to digest and absorb it. Low stomach acid, insufficient digestive enzymes, and other digestive issues can interfere with this process.

Here’s a simple tip: Chop, mince, and break down your vegetables! Breaking plant cell walls can help release nutrients and make them more accessible to your body.

Find a way to fall in ❤️ with your greens and veggies! Your bones will thank you.

Healthy bones require complete proteins! But what exactly is a complete protein?

Complete proteins contain all nine essential amino acids your body needs. Not all protein powders are created equal, so check the label to make sure you’re getting all nine.

Our Inflamed GI Restore protein powder goes a step further, providing all nine essential amino acids plus nine nonessential amino acids to support bone matrix formation.

The goal? Give your body the building blocks it needs to support strong, healthy bones from the inside out!

Did you know that collagen makes up a significant part of your bones’ structural framework?

Your body needs all nine essential amino acids from complete protein sources to build and maintain strong bones, muscle, and collagen. But it’s not just about what you eat — how well your body digests and absorbs those nutrients matters, too!

Following a vegetarian diet? There’s more to consider, and we’ll discuss that on Thursday. Be sure to check back!
