Kates Training Academy and Kates Community Initiative proudly support National Recovery Month this September. We stand with individuals, families, and communities in recognizing that recovery is possible and celebrating the strength, hope, and resilience of those on their recovery journeys.

Together, we continue to promote awareness, support, and opportunities for a healthier community.

This September, take action—reach out, offer support, challenge stigma, and help create pathways to recovery. Together, let’s turn awareness into action and ensure that everyone seeking recovery knows that hope, help, and healing are within reach.

As we close another remarkable fiscal year, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations and deepest appreciation to every member of the Kates Training Academy and Kates Community Initiatives family.

Fiscal Year 2026 has been a year of purpose, perseverance, and measurable impact. Together, we have demonstrated what is possible when we remain committed to serving our community with compassion, integrity, and excellence.

This year, we proudly served more than 4,000 individuals throughout the Chicago metropolitan community, providing workforce development opportunities, employment services, housing navigation, recovery support, and life-changing resources. Witnessing so many individuals secure meaningful employment, obtain stable housing, and reclaim hope has been one of the greatest honors of my career.

Through our commitment to Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC), we have continued to create pathways toward healing, wellness, and long-term recovery. Our recovery initiatives have strengthened families, empowered individuals to overcome barriers, reduced stigma, and connected countless community members with the support they needed to build healthier, more productive lives. Every success story reminds us that recovery is possible and that investing in people transforms entire communities.

The accomplishments of FY26 are a reflection of the dedication of our staff, instructors, peer recovery specialists, volunteers, community partners, stakeholders, and every individual who believed in our mission. Because of your commitment, Kates Training Academy and Kates Community Initiatives continue to be trusted leaders in workforce development, community engagement, recovery support, and social impact.

I could not be more proud of everything we have accomplished together. Our collective efforts have created opportunities, restored hope, and inspired lasting change throughout the communities we serve.

As we begin Fiscal Year 2027, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. We will continue expanding our programs, strengthening partnerships, increasing access to employment and housing opportunities, enhancing recovery support services, and reaching even more individuals and families throughout our communities. Our vision remains clear—to empower lives, strengthen communities, and create lasting opportunities for generations to come.

Thank you for making FY26 an extraordinary success. Together, we celebrate our accomplishments, honor our mission, and look forward to an even brighter future.

Congratulations on an outstanding Fiscal Year 2026!

With gratitude and pride,

Erica D. Bledsoe
