The Hallmark was honored to welcome Heartland Independent Film and Drama in September for a staging of their original play, When the Rabbis Came to Town.

This powerful play is inspired by the true story of Rabbi Allen Secher (pictured here with actor, Adam Bell) and the rabbis who stood up for civil rights in St. Augustine, Florida, in 1964.

Next, the play heads to Miami, Los Angeles, and other cities across the country, bringing this important piece of civil rights history to new audiences.
