As evident by my page name, I am openly discussing bipolar schizophrenia, a condition often misunderstood by many. Following my diagnosis at 13, I embarked on extensive research to comprehend the intricacies of my condition. Initially, I questioned whether my experiences were directly related to the disorder or merely coincidental. However, upon reflection, I realized that the trauma and abuse I suffered at that tender age significantly impacted my life. When I inquired about the rationale behind my diagnosis at 16, my mother, dealing with her own substance abuse issues, couldn't provide me with satisfactory explanations for the challenges I was facing. Undeterred, I continued my pursuit of knowledge and self-awareness. As I share my unfiltered experiences with you, the complexities of growing up in Chicago with nine siblings, where I uniquely faced unimaginable hardships, will become apparent. Please join me on this journey as I recount my story, detailing the trials and tribulations of living with bipolar schizophrenia.
