Happy to see my deck garden of herbs, flowers, and a few veggies survived my absence in relatively good shape! (thank you to my periodic garden gnome visits and self-watering planters) included - nasturtium, Indian mint, various spearmint and peppermint plants, lemonies (balm, verbena, grass), basils (Genovese, temperate tulsi, Thai, purple, African blue), cucumbers, shiso, calendula, summer-cranky/deadhead-needing) pansies and violas, parsley (a favorite green raw, cooked, in smoothies), gotu kola, bacopa, and a few other odds and ends. 🥰✨🌱🪴🌸 I also have motherwort, marshmallow, chives, Korean licorice mint, new roses, and a few other plants in the ground off the deck.

Landed back in the USA after an indulgently long and multifaceted trip across 9 countries by boat, bus, plane, train, car and kayak featuring loved ones for various legs including my husband Shannon, parents, cousin and her husband and son (their anniversary and vow renewal promoted the key leg of the trip, then I extended it), my best friend and her family, and two Nordic herbalists. A great trip! Back to work and lots to do tomorrow and in the coming weeks! I look forward to seeing students and clients but I didn’t miss working! 🤣 how many more years til semi-retirement??? This is a random photo dump showing Massachusetts by plane, my first high ropes course in Germany, more in Germany, Helsinki Finland, boat sunsets, tower view in Tallinn Estonia, Riga Latvia, Stockholm Sweden, Gdynia Poland, Wismar Germany, Swedish fika break for cinnamon and cardamom buns, Copenhagen Denmark… also see my prior posts for earlier and herbalist leg pics
